Including a Dallas tidbit near the end.

Antonio Pierce said that the only game they weren't sure of winning was the Divisional Game in Dallas because of the two regular season results. He said once they got by them they knew no one could beat them, including the 18-0 Pats.

Curious George said the same thing in an interview. Something to the effect of the Cowboys being the toughest team they faced that year.

They really got on a roll that year.

I knew they were going to beat GB.

I still can't believe that the Pats didn't beat them. But I have to say, I don't think Brady's ankle/leg was 100%. He didn't seem to be able to move around in the pocket as well as usual.

That said, kudos to the Giants. They earned and deserved the win(s).

When teams from the NFC East go to the playoffs, they usually go far.

Except for us :(

According to Alexander nobody says things like this about the Cowboys.

BTW Dallas has beat the Giants 4 out of the last 5 times when Romo started the game.

They've won every single regular season game against the Giants that Romo has started. His only loss to them is that stinking playoff game but that's the one that matters most so that's the one I'm sure people remember the most.

It's really become obvious (to me, at least) in this parity league that the hottest team at the end wins.

In the early 90s or 80s or 70s, I wouldn't have sweated if the Cowboys went 2-2, for example, in December. We often had a more talented roster, hands down.

But in today's game, you can easily go 9-7 and into the Divisional Playoffs or the Super Bowl.

Heck, the Cardinals defense was so poor during most of the regular season, and they couldn't stop the run. They just put it all together at the end. It appeared for some time the Eagles wouldn't even make it into the playoffs. And then they defeat the Giants.

We haven't been been able to get on a roll in December for what seems ages. Doesn't depend on the QB, HC, WR, you name the position. And that's with a potential HoF HC coaching our team during this span.

Hopefully our future success comes in bunches.

Go back to the Mets and Giants board.

BTW -- that one loss was more important than the 4 wins.

True but what are the odds of a team beating another really good team 3 times in one season?

We almost did it too.

If Crayton doesnt hesitate on the 2nd to the last play of the game we WIN. Would have gone down as one of our finest last second comebacks. But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....Still cant hardly watch that play without getting angry. That pass was deadbang PERFECT. I mean,...PERFECT. Easy touchdown. WHY patrick.......WHY? :bang2:

For us, about the same as winning a playoff game apparently

We had a bye, so that's a playoff win!

By that logic, last season we had a bye for the entire playoffs. So that's like getting to the Superbowl, right?
