An Irving... Texas Stadium Question

I am pumped! I just bought tickets to the Rams game September 30th. I haven't been to Texas Stadium in over 25 years. I'll be making the long 8 hour drive from Missouri to watch my team.

But I have a couple of questions.

How early should I try to get to the stadium? In other words...When do the gates open? I want to see all the pregame stuff...and see all the important stuff in the stadium.

How easy is it to get to? I'm not a very good driver. I hate to admit it....but I don't drive well in cities. I'm a country boy, and don't do large cities well. Will I be easily confused?

Are there any eating establishments close by (McD's or Wendy's) that I can grab a quick bite at on my way home....I have to be at work at 7:30 the next morning, so I want to get home around midnight.

From what I understand the Corral opens 3 hours before the game and the gates 2 hours before. I am making my first ever trip to Dallas tomorrow. I have never been there before to see a Cowboys game. As far as anything else, the driving and such, one of the locals will be able to help out on that as well.

parking lots open 4 hours before game time
gates open 2 hours before game time
i think the corral does open 3 hours before game time...costs $5 i think
there is a "sonic" just south of the stadium...sorry i dont know
what else is close.....i never go north cause i live in arlington.
however on your way north to missouri im sure you will go by tons
of fast food places within a few miles of Texas Stadium.

after the game the police usually direct you where they want you to go,
it can get a little confusing and not knowing where you will be parking
i wouldnt be much help.
