This is the third consecutive season that Ware has had at least six sacks in the first five games. He's the first player to do that in three consecutive seasons since sacks became an official stat.

If he gets at least one against Carolina, he'll also become the first player to have at least seven in the first six games for three consecutive seasons.

Wow. I think he's the third best defensive player in NFL history behind LT and Reggie. And I don't much like saying that.

He's amazing. He's so good just about everyone takes him for granted.

I hope that sack isn't his only tackle in the game again :(

I was looking at the tackles stats with Ware, Lissemore, Hatcher and Connor only getting one each. Those have to improve up front, heck, even Livings got in one tackle.

Please man, he's the only guy on the field capable outside Lee, I doubt teams want to test him when they can just smother Butler on the other side

He never gets the benefit of holding calls which given his pass rush ability seems abnormal to say the least.

He was taken down far worse than Ravens' DL yesterday with no call. Maybe he needs to scream more after the play.

Yep, on Rice's biggest play of the day, the guy blocking Ware had two handfuls of jersey. I don't know how they can't see it.

And its all been a waist on this team, he will never get close to a super bowl

Didn't say he wasn't. Just saying if he is not going to be ran at, other guys on the line need to step it up to make tackles near the LOS.

That stat doesnt mean much. How bout the last 7 games of the season??

We haven't played the last seven games of the season yet.

In his first seven seasons, Ware had at least six sacks in the final seven games of five different seasons. Only he and Reggie White have done that. Ware also has averaged 6.4 sacks in the final seven games of his seasons -- the most in NFL history.

Anybody on CZ ever ask you who you are? Most of your posts are so grounded in fact that take all the fun out of arguing with you.

Are there any stats kept for the percentage of times pass rushers are double teamed? My gut feeling is that Ware has to rank very high or at the top of that list, making the sacks he does get much more impressive. I watch guys like Clay Matthews schemed to come free late and wish we'd use Ware a little more creatively now and again.

It's just sad how this Cowboys team of late is wasting away the talents of select few, like Ware, Witten, Romo and a small handful of others.

stop ruining a good ol' ignorant rant with facts!

Ware is such a beast that like others on this site and even this thread, he doesn't get all the holding calls that he should be getting.

Beside that, this man is at a torrid pace with absolutely NO help from the rest of the defense. He IS and HAS been the extent of the Cowboys pass rush since he came into the league. Absolutely amazing.

The only thing that gets called consistently with respect to Ware is him being off sides. I doubt any other top pass rusher in the league gets as few holding calls come his way.

You have to keep in mind that there are a lot of casual fans around here. Even bona-fide facts get lost in their misconceptions.
