People forget about how exactly that game played out.

Dallas was down by 5 when Romo took over. They ran a bootleg and Strahan made a great play to make a pick. NYG got the ball and scored. Now Dallas is down by 12 points.

On Dallas' next possession they are driving and have a 4th and 2. Barber appears open right at the first down marker. The LB responsible for Owens sees this and goes right over to help out on Barber. Romo sees this and perfectly looks off Owens and then throws to a wide open Owens....who drops the ball.

The Giants get the ball back and score another TD, going up by 19 points.

Essentially, Romo was down by 19 points rather quickly w/o much of it being his own doing.

After that, the Cowboys hit a stretch were Romo thew the ball 20 times *in a row*.

I think Romo has been great and I won't deny that I'm pretty giddy about what I see from him, but even I don't expect him to be able to come back from that down and in all likelihood that's where QB's start getting intercepted....when their team is forced to pass the ball and forced to make plays quickly.

Very nice analysis. :)

And Hostile, he had never thrown an NFL pass before . . . Wasn't that your knock on him?

He'd thrown two, including a TD pass, before.

After watching that game the First thing I did was come on here and start a new thread called " Romo is the Future"

I remember saying that this performance showed so much potential it wasnt even funny. Forget the 3 picks, that wasnt even on my mind, Him slinging it down the field and His teammates hanging off his every step was most impressive.

The Experts can call it al bad game but We all know that game was the beggining of the ROMO Era:bow:
