I don't believe any mock this year will come anywhere close just because the whole draft this year is so crazy and unpredictable with what all teams are doing and the fact that it does not appear any two so called experts can agree to even close what the top 20/25 players will be.
So here goes with craziness.
#17 Charles Cross OT Mississippi St - Cross, who I consider the best OT, falls to #17 Dallas calls and ask what it will take and to Jerry's surprise it is a combination of players and a pick in 2023, Jerry sends Tyron Smith, Anthony Brown and 2023 2nd for Cross. Smith will play RT for the Chargers which gives them book end OTs in Slater and Smith. With no 2nd round pick, Chargers get Brown at CB where they need secondary help.
#32 Kenyon Green OG Texas A&M - Detroit calls Dallas when they are on clock at #24 and Matt Corral QB is still available after 3 QBs have already been picked and after initially saying no to the offer of #32 and #66, Detroit offers #32 and #34 for #24 and Jordan Lewis. Quinn not happy but Dallas does the deal.
#34 Bernhard Raimann OT Central Michigan - Dallas pulls a huge surprise taking a third OL guy but Raimann has a high ceiling and high floor and could easily start in place of Steele at RT. The fix to the O line continues.
#38 Travis Jones DT UConn - Dallas pulls off another trade with Cincinnati who traded out of the 1st to the Jets for #38 and #67, Dallas sends Dalton Schultz to Cincy for those two picks, guess they feel good about McKeon at TE with Sample and hopefully a draft pick. Jones is a great complement to the DL and just the guy Quinn will love.
#56 Sam Williams DE Ole Miss- a JPP type guy that can also play some LB, some DT along with DE position
#67 George Pickens WR Georgia - a good route runner, long arms, good speed and can play all the WR positions
#88 Troy Anderson ILB Montana State - could take over for LVE at anytime
#129 Zylon McCollum CB Sam Houston St - size, length, speed that Quinn loves
#155 Cade Otton TE Washington - great hands but even better blocker
#167 Jalen Wydermyer TE Texas A&M - high upside, great hands, good route runner
#176 Cam Jergens OC Nebraska - backup for Biadasz
#178 Brandon Smith OLB Penn St - seems to be all over the board up and down, see him falling
#193 Pierre Strong RB South Dakota St - a surprising RB late
UDFAs:
David Anenih DE Houston
James Houston LB/DE Jackson State
Devin Harper OLB Oklahoma State
Marquese Bell Safety Florida A&M
Daron Bland CB Fresno State
Aqueel Glass QB Alabama A&M
Jequez Ezzard WR Sam Houston State
Sam Webb CB Missouri Western
Keaontay Ingram RB USC
Austin Allen TE Nebraska
Spencer Burford OG UTSA
Jonathan Ford DT Miami
Luke Goedeke OT/OG Central Michigan
Cole Kelley QB SE Louisana
Chandler Staton K Appalachian St
