I haven't started a thread in such a long time - it is good to do this again.

Even though I know this Cowboy team has issues, one play that excited me greatly was at the 9:50 mark in the first quarter of the game against Baltimore. It was the play where Zach Martin pulled to help seal the inside for the hole to open for Murray.

So Romo hands off to Murray with Clotts in front of him.

MARTIN pulls to his left and seals off Suggs to the inside!

T. SMITH chips at Ngata for a moment to assist Leary, then breaks off to engage the right inside linebacker!

LEARY engages Ngata long enough for Murray to get by.

FREDERICK gets on the right side of the NT and keeps him out of the play.

CLOTTS engages #57 long enough for Murray to get by, but needed to stick with his block a little more as #57 was in on the tackle moments later (be it 16-yards downfield).

FREE just had to let #98 run himself out of the play.

WITTEN chips #58 then engages #26 to keep him out of the play.

Unfortunately, T. WILLIAMS after getting help from Witten, did not keep his block on #58 and let him get in on the tackle.

MURRAY saw the hole, hit the hole, then got an extra 6 yards after contact as he was not touched until he was 10 yards downfield.

THAT IS HOW OFFENSIVE LINES ARE TO EXECUTE!

So the question to be asked.....Does Clotts make the team? Is Murray a better RB with a FB ahead of him? It will be interesting when they cut down to 53.

Good break down of that play.

Nice write up but in the future it is Clutts.

Nice, but they ran the same play later to Dunbar, and Martin missed his block, almost getting Dunbar killed in the back field. Growing pains for Martin, but he is far ahead of any of our recent 1st round picks at this stage of camp.

I think Clutts might actually make this team, too, because none of the backup linemen have impressed.

I think we may only keep 8 OL. Starters plus Berny, Parnell, and Wetzel. All the other guys look like camp bodies.

Except for the guy in your avatar. He was plug and play.

Perhaps, but at this point of camp last year, not everyone was sold on the beard, I think most people have a good idea Martin will be very good.

This team has the best O-line in the league. It's not even close imo
