Funny thing how we view the schedule before the season starts....right now, the Commanders and Lions are respectfull opponents. And it will take a dedication and on field presence to beat both of these to remain where we fans predicted in our early looks at schedules.

But I like where the early road is leading, as the team depth and real quality will be improved at a crucial time in the season. Black and blue December, will be arrived at, with or without injury depletions, but with a stronger team for that stress from this part of the season...

For now, the young players will have to not just watch, but earn a mark on the field by making game speed plays. So far, we fans are seeing some good returns on lower depth players. That is good. And just in the nick of time, as both Washington and then the Lions aren't just mere steps in a schedule at this point.

It remains to be seen IMHO if the Skins are a legit 2-0 team, even if that included a win over the Giants. OTOH, Detroit appears to be for real, particularly given their defense. Am worried about both games given our many injuriess.

The skins aren't legit. You'll see come MOnday. I'd almost rather see the injuried guys take the week off and rest, though most probably won't.

The Lions aren't punching bags anymore, and they're better than the skins, but we've got them at home, and they've never been a good road team. Plus we should be healthier by then.

I'm predicting an easy 3-1 by the bye.
