And if you STILL think we should've drafted Chris Johnson over Felix Jones...

Casmith, thank you for this thread.

The comments are gold. :laugh2:

I don't really care about who should be over who. Felix has shown to be explosive and I'm fine with him. We can't go back in time. But wow. I didn't realize this was such a big deal.

The finalists were Vikings defensive end Jared Allen, Colts receiver Reggie Wayne, and Saints quarterback Drew Brees. (Voting ended March 15.) But another guy who didn't make the final trio thinks he should be the player on the box.

Titans running back Chris Johnson.

"No one else deserve to be there but me," Johnson told NBC Sports Digital General Manager Rick Cordella at the Interactive Sports Conference in Las Vegas. "I set the record."

Let's see some jewelry, Chris. Not the stuff you bought from the guy who sold you those idiotic rims. I'm talking league issued jewelry. Because all Drew Brees did was just win the super bowl and be named MVP. Sooooo, I'm guessing the Titans would gladly trade YOUR record for a super bowl win.

This guy is ALL about himself. "I should win MVP, I should be on the cover of Madden, I, I, I...."

He wasn't even the most valuable player ON HIS TEAM! They were losing games while he was tearing it up. It wasn't till Vince Young came in did they start winning. But maybe I just put more value on WINS than STATS.

You think a second year RB is justified in calling to be the highest paid offensive player in the league? No RB is justified in calling to be the top paid offensive player.

Justified? Who cares what he asks for, is it coming out of your pocket? He doesn't even play for the Cowboys.

You'd laugh even harder if you read Hostile's thread from a few days ago about Chris Johnson's car.

But the brainiacs around here haven't figured out the connection yet.

Good point.

Which begs the question - why does anyone whine about some of the players on the Cowboys, then? None of us are really paying their salary either, but people here feel compelled to whine and moan like there's no tomorrow.

There's a problem with your theory here. The players we ***** and moan about aren't any good.

Doesn't matter - you aren't paying their salary. So who cares?

It depends on how he is using it. A player can be arrogant but still be a team player. Chris Johnson doesn't strike me as the "me-me-me" type.

Oh, I disagree. An arrogant player is one who believes he is the best on the team, that he is above the team. To me, Chris Johnson screams "me-me-me".

Well, considering our discussion is about Chris Johnson, specifically his arrogance, it seems entirely relevant.

This is comical how people are grasping for straws, trying to justify the Felix over Johnson pick.

It's getting quite pathetic now.

He drives a lifted scraper on 25's and wants to be on the cover and Madden, while rushing for 2,000 yards.

OMGZZZ Jerry's a genius for not drafting this bum!!!!!!

I hate to say this - but I agree with this post.
