Remember all the whining and complaining before the season that our schedule was too front-loaded with road games? Well now it it time for the back-end to start paying some serious dividends. We now sit at 6-4 with this remaining schedule:

-vs. Tampa Bay: Our defense, with tons of momentum from today, against a rookie QB at home on Thanksgiving? Turkey Time!

-@ New York: The Giants are riddled with injuries at the moment and we will be looing for some major payback in this duel for the NFC east crown.

-vs. New Orleans: Sean returns home to face his mentor but is bringing a highly-inconsistent defense and team with him. Romo should have a field-day.

-@ Atlanta: Bad news is that it is road game late in the season. Good news is that we will be playing against Michael Vick. Somewhere dbair is smiling.

-vs. Philly: Christmas day showdown with the iggles. No McNabb. Revenge game from earlier this year. At home with TO wanting to rip out Philthy fan's hearts. Life is good.

-vs. Detroit: Well......they just aren't that good and a win here could secure us a possible bye for the first round of the playoffs.

The schedule is almost custom made for a team that is looking to get on a hot streak and roll into the playoffs. You know kinda like Romo & the Boys.

The only game I don't expect us to win is against New York.
It will most definitely be the toughest but, if a few of their big-time players continue to miss games because of injuries, we definitely have a shot. That and Eli is a Manning and our game with them will definitely be big. What do Mannings do in big games?

Saints scare me more than the Giants. Brees > Eli. Not to mention New York's defense is shredded with injuries.

It's amazing how up and down we've been all year.

I mean that two ways.

1. The Cowboys: They show up BIG, like today, some weeks. They look like a machine at times.

2. The Fans: Due to the inconsistency of our team, we are on a high ("We're going to the Super Bowl, Baby!") some weeks....or we hit the depths, (Man, we're the worst team in the history of forever!).

Right now, I feel that we can run the table...Eight in a row! It's not bloody likely, but looking at our schedule it's definitely doable.

Tampa Bay: We SHOULD win this game. But how many times have we seen our team win a HUGE game, only to fart it away with a crappy performance the next week?

New York: Again, another team we should beat. But this will be a super-hostile stadium. How will Romo fare? The weather could also be a factor.

New Orleans: We've faced the Saints a few times the past few seasons. But they really have our number. I think they've beaten us three straight times.

Atlanta: Which Vick will we get?

Philly: There will be blood in the water for this one. We should be able to swarm Philly and destroy them in this one.

Detroit: They'll be playing for the number one pick at this point.

My prediction: I think we'll beat Tampa, New Orleans, Philly, and Detroit. That will get us a 10-6 record, and a playoff spot.

Right now our fait is in our own hands. We certainly can beat every team remaining, especially if we play like we did today. Whether the mistakes will come back to haunt us or not is TBD, but we have the ability to run the table IMO.

It helps a TON that we are playing at home. I'd hate to play them in N.O.

You know it is interesting because, historically, we have had a lot of problems with the Saints. Even at home. But watching Chad Johnson just go off against them today for 190 and 3 TD's, TO and Terry have to be licking their chops. Establish the run and you can play-action them to death all day long.

Panthers are now playing good football. They also got 7 sacks today.

They had been playing good football leading up to us as well.

Slam Flozell and Columbo all you want but overall their pass protection has been uber.

Pettiti who?

why does this matter? I see us going 5-1 the rest of the way which puts us at 11-5 :D

The NYFG game will easily be the toughest and MOST IMPORTANT game remaining on our schedule. A loss there would mean a 1 1/2 game deficit which, at this stage of the season, would be very difficult to overcome. Look at it this way, even if NYFG lose tomorrow, which would put us in a tie with 6 games remaining, the best we could do to fininsh the year would be 5-1 (given the loss to NY) and there is certainly no guarantee of that. But if we did somehow go 5-1 in the other games, they would only have to go 3-2 in their remaining games to win the Division. Our chances of advancing in the playoffs are greatly enhanced by going the Division Champ route vs the wild card route.

If we end up playing them in the playoffs and we both have similar or the same record, that win earlier this year helps a ton, because it means the game will likely be in Dallas instead of in Carolina.
