After seeing every mock in the world the last 3 months, we can rest for 3 months and come back together in Canton to see Cowboys and their 11 draft picks take on the Steelers.

Just need to get another vet QB before then. Have a great spring and summer. Some of us need a break from this board after this weekend lol

See ya, in July!! Salud!

I’m ready to watch some 6’4 corners guard 5’11 Shifty WRs in the preseason.

I’m also interested to see how the injection of thugs / Wrong Kind of guys works out.
Injection of thugs!?! LMAO. Gangster Cowboys inbound.

I am just glad they closed strong. Yesterday was odd. I see OO as a tweeter that will play DE early downs and move inside on passing downs. The other 2 were odd. Today was a great day. I love Cox in the 4th. Ball also has a chance to be really good.

Rest...heck no...we will get all the threads on how we still suck.

I will take the next 10 days, to decipher it all, but still will be...let me see it on the field. I may or may not agree with every pick, but who does. But I will support them all.
In 10 days we will have the schedule to talk about. Then OTA's, mini camps. Then the long 6 weeks before TC. We can relax during that time. And hope all stay out of trouble.

The good thing about the HOF game. We start TC earlier. So maybe 5 weeks and not 6 of waiting.

Get your program......get your program!! We will need it with all these new games.

Exactly! The time to rest was between the Super Bowl and the start of free agency. We have 11 players to dig into, read every interview, go back again and watch game tape, then OTAs and mini camps!

And I do expect to see some more tweaks to this roster over the coming months...

His whole Miami Hurricane team was all that. All they did was win.
Howard Schnellenberger had a natural nonchalant, care free personality. But what's crazy is Jimmy Johnson was a disciplinarian and he didn't give a shiite. I guess he took a... I'm your coach not your daddy approach. Like he told the guys, watch film, know your assignments, and handle your business on the field. I don't care what you do after that.

Barry Switzer and Jimmy Johnson had a bad boy contest when they both coached in OK. Switzer was one of those coaches at AR that made sure Broyles didn't know what was going on with the guys, just like DAL had coaches do the same for Landry at the direction of Schramm. What they didn't know couldn't hurt them or the players status on the field.

There are some great stories about Darrell Royal and his outlaws at UT. And Stallings had some real roughriders at A&M.

Back in the day, coaches just assumed football players had too much machismo and testosterone and had to have ways to get rid of the overflow. They expected a little different behavior from them and they looked the other way unless forced to deal with it.

Barry just went a little overboard because he knew they were packing in the jock dorm. He's lucky no one got killed.

On that 64 National Champ team at AR, there were some wild and crazy guys on that team. Never heard anything about Booger or Jimmy being a part of the shenanigans but their teammate and best player, Lloyd Phillips, was renown for being certifiable. He ended up with the Bears, fitting, as a teammate of Butkus, his idol. However, Butkus was just known to be crazy on the field, Phillips was crazy off the field.

I think Barry's training at AR stayed with him and that was why he was so easy on his players. He was really well liked by the players and they'd do anything for him. He counted on that his whole coaching career and even said that when he came to the Cowboys. "Gonna treat them like professionals, they're grown men". Yep, they grew up on the outside.
