Please, just admit it. Stop with the stupid excuses. Start a thread and we'll see what the members think. Don't be scared now..

No one is scared. The majority of this board has jumped on the Mays is a workout warrior bandwagon. Why don't I go on a Commanders board and ask who's better, McNabb or Romo? When they all vote McNabb does that make it fact?

And actually I did respond to the fact that the cowboys and other teams have Mays rated higher. If you haven't figured it out yet, he's ranked that high purely because of his physical ability. But, why have the cowboys among many other teams shown interest in Allen alot more then mays? That must be a coincidence huh? So tell me. I wanna hear from the USC scout himself. What makes Taylor I can't cover Mays, a first round safety? Is it his great mechanics? His instincts? His range? His coverage abilities? Please, I'm dieing to know.

So the Cowboys and other NFL teams, who work out these players every single year, are somehow fooled by his physical ability? The are ranking him higher just because of his physical ability or ranking him higher because they feel he is the better player? Come on now, you look foolish.

As far as why I feel Taylor Mays is a first round pick, I'll say that I think Mays can be a very similar player to Adrian Wilson only he's faster and more athletic. I realize that those are his "physical abilities" but guess what? Those are good things to have in the NFL. Does he need some coaching up? Definitely. Mays was not asked to cover players one-on-one in college and will need to improve. Just like Tebow did not take snaps under center and will need to improve to have success in the NFL. I've said that Berry and Thomas are the better prospects. Berry will be a star for any team he goes to. Mays' success will depend on scheme and coaching as well as his willingness to work on his coverage issues. Playing him at strong safety, having him cover TE's and FB's, is putting him in a match up he's more suited to win.

Oh and btw, wasn't Roy Williams rated higher the. Ed reed in the 02 draft? Hmmmmm, how did that work out? Come on man. I can go on for days

Every single draft you can find a player who turned out better than another player at the same position drafted ahead of him. Nothing groundbreaking there. I'm sure you can go on for days but I doubt you will be saying anything of merit.

You know it's not your job to defend the guy, right? Let everyone think what they will, none of what is said matters anyway.

I really really doubt it. Especially if some of the teams in need of a safety in dont select one in the 1st.
I agree with you as far as him not being there when pick in Rd 2...I say no way to that. But I do think he (or someone of equal value) could be had 5-10 picks later than #27.
