The Cowboys have surprisingly made it to the quarterfinals in the NFL playoffs as one of the top 8 teams in the league.

Preseason predictions only had the Cowboys winning 8 or 9 games finishing 2nd or 3rd in the division. Practically no one had them winning the division. Vegas had their over/under at 8 1/2 wins.

At mid season the Cowboys were reeling at 3-5 on the brink of a total collapse heading to Philly for what most thought would all but end the season bringing about major changes.

After winning 7 of our last 8 and a playoff game we are on the verge one win away of playing for the Cowboys first Conference championship potentially punching their ticket to the Super Bowl for the 1st time since 1995 season.

2018 is the greatest turnaround to make the playoffs in Cowboys history. We are one of the top 8 teams in the NFL. No ones sure if we are a Final 4 team but they certainly have our attention.
Go Cowboys !!

If our O-line, WR's, Zeke and Dak execute, this will be a great game. Will go as far as saying if they execute better than the Ram's O-line, Wr's, Gurley and Goff it will be a first trip to an NFC championship game since the 90's. Win or lose it's been fun to watch and an enjoyable football season for me. I believed 9-7 or 10-6 would be their record at the start of the season giving them a solid shot at the NFC east. They haven't let my beliefs down. Everything else is icing on the cake and I like the icing!

Cowboys will have a weak draft and should try and get some good free agents. The core is in place to build around.

I don't know, we've done a'ight with our second and third round picks lately. Look at Cooper as our #1 draft pick, I'll take that over a WR pick at #1. Those cats take a while to grow into #1 Wr's usually

They’re really young but they’re talented and, for once, quite balanced throughout. I figured, because of that youth, that they’d be better in the second half of the season than they were in the first half of it. Turns out they were worse than I expected early, but came together better than I expected late.

The team’s confidence is starting to snowball now... growing at a geometric rate... and the energy with this team is growing, in part I think because of their youth. They could continue to make noise in the playoffs, I have no doubt. But will they?

The Cowboys now have the belief in themselves and their coaches that only experiencing success can provide, and winning their first playoff game only bolsters that belief. There is some Mojo working in that Dallas locker room... just a spark of something that is starting to smolder. With a win in LA, that ember could ignite and engulf the team, propelling them to heights that would have been unimaginable at the mid-point of the season.

They have to beat the Rams though. That will be the game that will make the team KNOW they can win it all.

We’ve all seen it before. We saw it with the 1992 team that swept through the NFL, winning it all. We saw Jimmy’s young team go through their crucible at Candlestick Park and emerge as a championship caliber team for years. We’ve seen other teams catch fire and play better than anyone thought they would. It happens in this ultimate gladiator sport. This ultimate TEAM sport.

The LA Colosseum just may be this team’s crucible. They’re poised on the precipice and they need to take take leap to a true contender. But they have to take what they want. It won’t be given. They need to play with intensity. They need to play with fire and reckless abandon. Play smart and focused football and just smash the Rams right in the face. Let it all come together and serve notice to the world that they’ve arrived on the biggest of stages.

It’s there for them. They have the players and they now have the experience. I hope they take what is theirs.

One change I see about Dak is he is throwing hard spirals and the rest is left to the receiver to be able to catch those.

I disagree. Dak, Zeke, Amari, Byron, DeMarcus all need monster deals this offseason or next. Letting any of them go to sign someone else doesn’t solve anything.

Well if keeping players is at the expense of FA then, yes we have to keep them and be very selective in FA. How does New England do it so well.

Cant our players say look we want to win a SB and just settle for less money as they probably wont need millions to live off unless medical issue are a concern.

We won’t know if this season is the greatest turnaround in Cowboys history until they either win the SB or are eliminated. IMO, the greatest comeback season in Cowboys history is currently 1970, when after being humiliated 38-0 in front of a MNF national TV audience to fall to 5-4, they rallied to win 7 straight including their first NFC championship and SB appearance. If this team goes that far I will agree with you.

That’s your definition not mine.

I stated greatest comeback in Cowboys history to make the playoffs. That’s my parameter.

I would agree that was a great turn around winning out on our way to 1st Super Bowl but that team was 5-3 and had been a perineal division winner and playoff contender.

I just cannot handle another heartbreaking exit from the Divisional Round. I really hope they're able to pull this off in convincing fashion Saturday night for the sake of my mental health.
This season is not like our other divisional appearances this era where as #1 seed we were the favorites. Or even in 2014 headed to Green Bay where we were also 12-4 losing tiebreaker for bye to Packers.

We are prohibited underdogs going to LA who have been favorites all year to contend for SB.

Yeah, I really like the position the team is in now. They know they’re prohibitive underdogs and should play loose, physical football.

Rams fans have to be nervous.

Agreed. Just make progress; that's all I'm hoping for.

The divisional round has been the mountain we can't climb.

At least make it to the NFC Championship game and I'll be content!

After starting 3-5 I would never have believed it if I was told the Cowboys are going to win the division and a playoff game. It’s been an interesting season for sure haha.

Can’t wait for a Saturday night!

Realistically, a 40,000$ Super Bowl ring meaning more to someone than 10’s of millions is cuckoo. Brady is one of the only people who can get away with it because his wife makes 50m$ a year.

Target on, guy...and with a win, the team will remain totally focused.

Beat the Rams!:starspin:
