He knows the offense. He is solid. Not great but solid. Romo is comfortable with him. Unless he is terribly out of shape. We must be talking to him right? I always thought not keeping him would bite us.

I for sure dont see how it could hurt us. He's gotta still be a big upgrade over costduh

He must be worse off (health) than most of us think. Why else (other than the o-line coach not liking him) would the Cowboys not be reaching out to him? Maybe his career is over.

So you wish. Like it or not, "Costduh" might be the best hope this team has for the center position in 2012.

Get over it guys if they thought Holland or Groude would have made a difference they would be here.

They are not and they are moving forward if anyone else gets signed it will be after cuts happen.

This. They may be concerned about the center position but I doubt they are panicking.

Sadly it seems that way. But not every player on your starting roster can be great. If we have to use him then we do.

Replacing guys who cant play with other guys who cant play, not a solution.

I think you are probably right. They didn't panic over Ball playing safety either, or entering training camp with 3 year bust Ogletree as the third receiver.

Do not want. He isn't great at making the line calls and when teams twist and stunt he usually screws it up.

I'd rather trade for someone.

Terrible at making the line calls (Kosier had to do it for him) and snapped the ball over Romo's head as much as Costa.

Plus, I don't think he can bend over and touch his knees anymore.

No thanks.

They must really believe that Costa can do the job. It is the only sensible answer to why they did nothing to improve the position. It's like locking the door after your house has been robbed. It's a little late now to be looking for someone to do the job. I sincerely hope Costa can do the job .... otherwise we are really going to be in a mess and it won't be long before Tony is injured. Time will tell.

Have no idea why we got rid of him. Would definitely make sense to bring him back.

On the bright side of that, part of it was his contract.

But, if he can still play, why didn't Baltimore keep him.

we need a center(either as a backup or starter) because Arkin is not ready to be counted on at center this year.
