I'm interesting in seeing who people prefer and why. Personally billings is my favorite 1 tech in the draft. Some even may prefer a'shawn. Put down your favorite 1 tech and your analysis of them.

Rankins because I think he could excel at 1 or 3 and would spend alot of time in the opponents backfield.

As a 1T I like Billings. I think Rankins is a natural 3T. I don't think he is as much of a pocket pusher as he is a guy who can slip the gaps. I think they're both incredible talents on the interior DL, I would take Billings though.

How about we stop trying to differentiate subtle nuances and just draft a talented defensive tackle? It's been a long time since we've done that.

Ignoring all the 1 tech/3 tech crap and going by pure talent:

1. Robinson
2. Rankins
3. Nkemdiche
4. Billings
5. A. Johnson
6. Reed
7. Washington
8. Clark
9. Butler
10. Collins
11. Jones
12. Henry
13. Reader
14. Hargrave
15. Lawrence-Stample

This DT class is incredibly deep

I'd put Rankins and Billings 1-2, personally.

I like Rankins more but wouldn't be mad at Billings at all.

Not trying to be argumentative but we have a boatload of DE/3-Techs and NO 1-Tech..

McClain-2 is an ok 1-Tech when he's not out with a season ending injury, we need an upgrade and depth there...

There are also a boat load of cornerbacks and safeties...c'mon.

I feel like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, clicking her ruby red slippers and whispering, 'There's no place like home...'

If only Dallas would take this very seriously this season, and take one of the top six above. Me, I'd take one from the top 4 and never look back to turn to stone.

I have been reading that they expect Robinson to test out as a much better athlete than most think. He has to go top 10.

Who on that list do you think is incapable of playing 1 tech? Nkemdechie is the only guy I'd listen to a legit argument on.

And considering the fact that we have a grand total of 3 DE's on the roster for next season and David Irving as the only back up Crawford I'd say you seriously need to reconsider your definition of "a boat load."

This but I like Rankins better.

I'd go with Rankins. The guy is easily strong enough to hold double teams. That said, I like Billings a lot and would love to have him on the team. I give Rankins the slight edge though because I feel he has a higher ceiling.

I like Rankins a lot but since we are married to Tyrone Crawford, I doubt he is a consideration.

I would take Rankins in a second too. I just prefer Billings is all.

I like Billings as well. It is too bad we don't value the position and take advantage of one of the best DT classes in a long time.

I wish we had more depth and skill at corner. I think if that was the case it would be much harder for the team to pass on someone like Billings or Rankins. With us being so shallow and talent deficient at the corner spot, if this team goes defense early, I am convinced it is going to be a DB.
