That **** is getting out of control.

Pretty crazy. Wonder if maybe the old rookie salary scale was putting the brakes on high-end player inflation to some extent.

Few posters here criticized Brees for his stance against the NFL in promoting a greater revenue share for the players because they could see right away that the revenue share would disproportionately benefit the elite players like Brees. Looks as though they were right.

He is a golden boy for whatever reason. I think it's because he's so handsome.

He's dreamy.

I think it is part that and part three year spending floor in the CBA.

This guy is a little over rated though he was supposed to be the next Peyton so far see Eli.

Lol not really when a bum like cousins is getting 19mil a year.

What does Cousins have to do with this? And he isn't getting 19mil/year. He is on a franchise tag. Of course getting that weak response correct is beyond someone who thinks he's a bum.

He had a fantastic 2014 and he's only 26 right now. Pretty easy to see why people are high on him.

Whether or not he becomes the next Peyton is kind of hard to judge considering Peyton didn't start his career the way he finished it. Sure, Luck isn't playing like Manning did for the final 10 or 12 seasons of Peyton's career, but's it not like Manning was playing at the same level first 4 of 5 years of his career. Peyton wasn't even Peyton after 4 years.

Sounds like you don't understand anything about the NFL football league whatsoever. Sometimes teams don't give ludicrous Andrew Luck deals, in exchange to see if the player itself is worth big bucks. I mean we could have given a Tony Romo like contract for a player who can't even play 1/2 of the season let alone 4 games.

Overrated and now overpaid. The guy has not accomplished anything to get paid what he did.

Well said. Not to mention, he has a garbage o-line and their GM continues to draft receivers instead of line men.

It is actually the opposite of that with QBs.....since ARodgers signed his deal in 2013 the cap has gone up 26% but QBs salaries have only increased 6%.....other QBs are not going to be super pleased that Luck didn't hit it out of the park- 23.3m avg while still setting the new standard

The rookie salaries were way out of control but the savings have gone to many more stars than just QBs......QBs are very aware of their impact on the cap and don't want to be seen as the guy hogging all the space....mid level vets are the ones that really paid....teams can get rookies and young guys to do it for 10x less.....

His talent is world class. His play on the field is above average. I think he's top 10 but way overrated definitely not top 5
