I have a Samsung Mesmerize (Galaxy S) and it's a piece of ****. I've already had one replaced, and now it's time for another one. This one freezes all the time. I've had to pull the battery out at least 15 times today.

I think they're going to make me go through another one before they'll put me in a new phone, but I'm already looking for options. I can either go with one of two HTC models or say screw the business account phone and go on my own with an iPhone.

As far as I can tell HTC >>>>>>>>>> Samsung when it comes to phone build quality.

This is why I'm shying away from upgrading to the Nexus S (supposed to be the new Nexus One) It's made by Samsung and when I got my hands on one, I wasn't so pleased with it's feel. Not to mention they ignorantly didn't add a SD card port. I don't care if they gave it 16GB of memory, it needs the SD card.

I have a Galaxy S and haven't had any trouble with it other than bad battery life.

I had an HTC Hero and that thing was a POS. I swapped it for the Galaxy S.

The only things I don't like about are the battery life and Cellular South hasn't released the Android 2.2 upgrade yet.

The Galaxy S has an SD but you have to remove the back of the phone to get to it.

Ahh. I haven't seen a Galaxy S. My SD card in my Nexus One is under the battery.

You don't have to pull the battery but it's in the same area.

Actually, I just looked. It's not, it was my old Blackberry Curve that was under the battery.

Favorite apps:

TubeMate (best app of all so far. isn't on market for obvious reasons but i can take ANY video off of youtube and download the audio and save it as an MP3 and stores directly into my Music manager)

Sweet! Come here so I can give you a kiss!

I was able to get it from the market.

I have a Samsung Captivate. Returned the first one for a non-working speaker and horrible GPS. The second one has been great. V2.2 right now, AT&T is supposed to be pushing Gingerbread out soon.

Not rooted or rom'ed just because it does everything I need it to so I haven't taken the time to see what any custom roms would give me.

My first smart phone. A year ago I was using a pre-paid Tracfone.

:laugh2: I got mine off the market as well but when I posted that it wasn't on there. It comes and goes all the time.

I also have a HTC Thunderbolt and I couldn't be happier with the phone. It is simply amazing. I wanted an iPhone, but the Bolt blows it out of the sewer.

A lot of my favorite apps have been posted. I'm going to look into some of the other ones posted as well.

Sprint HTC Evo for almost the last year. It's awesome. I honestly would still prefer a physical keyboard for texting and emailing, but the big screen is hard to beat for surfing.

Don't use that many apps, other than TuneIn for Bloomberg and the local Dallas sports stations (when I can't get them on real radio), a weather radar app, Bloomberg for financial news, Zillow for real estate stuff, and Bing for general searching and directions. For whatever reason, I like it more than google maps.

When I got the Streak 7 from Dell I got the Wifi only edition. Which basically meant I had to pay a little more and lost the TMOBILE branding along with not being able to use it as a phone.

The annoying thing about it is that they left the app on the phone that actually searches for a signal 24/7 and drains TONS of battery. After rooting it and removing that I get a few hours more of battery life.

I'm going to get either SGII or iPhone 5 when they are out. Why does everyone hate touchwiz? Can somebody hook me up with links for how to root & roms guides.

Find your phone and check out the Development Board for that phone. They however do not do iPhones, so you are out of luck there.

It's purely an Android Root/Rom/Kernel/HaX site.

Phone: Motorola Droid Pro
OS: Android 2.2.1
Am I happy with the phone: Absolutely. I wanted to get away from my Blackberry, but I refused to get an iPhone (I might be one of the few Mac users who hates the iPhone). I got this Android phone because it has a physical QWERTY keyboard and not a touch screen (well there is one too, but I never use it). I recommend this phone to everyone who wants a great smartphone but still wants a "real" keyboard.
Favorite Apps:
Social Networking: LinkedIn, TweetDeck, Google+
Finance: Bloomberg, Yahoo! Finance
Games:Blast Monkey, Yoo Ninja
Misc.: Hop Stop, Pandora, Google Talk, Yelp
