I think most players see the Pro-Bowl as just one big PITA.

If one is selected, they should be required in their contract to play.

They should do rookies versus sophmores, and a skill competition..all stars don't get hurt and we get a game that still isn't as exciting as the Senior Bowl.

To give the game meaning

how does forcing athletes to play give it meaning? the game itself is a farce. this is a team sport, putting a bunch of individuals on the team, and expecting the team to perform at a level you see in weeks 1-16 is just silly.

Moving the Pro Bowl to the bye week has effectively destroyed whatever significance being a pro bowler once held. You should only qualify as a "pro bowler" if you were elected to the team regardless of who actually plays in the game.

I've gotten to the point where I'd prefer they didn't have this game.

And with all the alternates, it's way too easy together there.
I mean, didn't Vince Young actually make it once?

And then there's the obvious injury risk, though they do basically play flag football.

I honestly can't remember the last time I watched this game. I know for certain that I have never watched one of these games in its entirety, ever....... 02.
