I think he would be a great backup for us what do you guys think? We don't have a viable backup although Dak has been a work horse and healthy as heck since we drafted him..We still haven't signed Dak so he'll I don't know.

If he is open to it then great. If he was ok being a backup, my guess is he would have stayed in Cincinnati and help mentor Burrow though. My guess is he ends up in a place like New England where he can compete for a starting role.

I think all of the back up QB positions are pretty much filled.

My guess is, the patriots have been waiting for the bengals to cut Andy. I think it may be why they didn’t even draft a QB.

We shall see though.

Dalton will want a chance to start and want more $$ than the team is probably willing to pay.

Also depends on how comfortable they feel about how Dak's negotiations are coming along.

The real question is....would you rather have Dalton for $25 million per year?

or Dak with his $35+ millon demands?

Andy Dalton could do some damage with all this talent.

Why not? He's no different than Romo.

Competition is good. Bring him in.

Ken Zampese the coach whom Dalton had most success in with Commanders

Yep. And then get to the playoffs and choke it all away in the first game by throwing picks all over the field.

no thanks

I agree, his playoff record leaves much to be desired...but the Bengals haven't won a playoff game since 1991...they've been incompetent long before Dalton.

I just think he could flourish on the right team. He's still young-ish, relatively healthy and has good accuracy.

Almost certainly. Makes too much sense.

Dalton is the EXTREMELY poor man's version of Brady lol.

He's what most teams have - a veteran as a backup, who's had some success in the NFL. Cowboys should be no different.

Good pickup...
