Andy Reid interested in Charger job

It'd be a dream job. He's got the talent to compete right away in a market that couldn't be more laid back. The weather's great. He's got the QB.

You couldn't really ask for much more. Some people say he needs to take a year off but I think he needs to take this opening while it's out there.

Agreed.

He has my permission to go to the Chargers. Anywhere but the NFC esp the East. I'd prefer he go to Canada actually. I'm tired of him beating our arse.

He's 5-8 against us in his last 13 games against the Cowboys.

Once he lost Jim Johnson, he was never a threat. And he made his bones in the NFC East during the days of Fassel, Campo and Spurrier as the HC's.

He done a good job against the Cowboys last season. He simply outcoached Garrett and Ryan.

Jerry ought to go out there and get em!!!

We can use him as the OC out here...so Garrett can relieve himself of playcalling duties and focus more on the "little things"...like clock management and so on.

Reid can give him some pointers on that:laugh2:

And what about this year?

Or 2009 when he lost 3 times to Wade and Garrett?

U r cherry picking. What's his overall record against the Cowboys, how many titles did he win, how many did he knock us out of, and what's his overall record there?

That's definitely a good spot for him. He could immediately step in and they'd be competing for a playoff spot.

No, I'm not cherry picking.

You said that you were 'tired of him beating our arse.' That would infer that he continually beats our arse today and that you wish to see him go somewhere else so the beatings would stop.

But, he hasn't been beating our arse very often in the past 6 seasons.

In fact, since Parcells came here Reid is a whopping 10-11 against the Cowboys.

Beating the Dave Campo's of the world doesn't make one a great coach.

.....intriguing scenario. I really think the man needs a year off to recharge his batteries: he lost his son tragically, his overpriced and overrated team all but quit on him and he just doesn't look 'WELL' IMHO...that said, these jobs don't come along too often and like RS said S.Diego is a great place to coach. I wish him well as I think he's a pretty good guy quite honestly.:)

Yea, Reid in SD makes a ton of sense. I can see Gruden if he's interested, but other than that, it makes too much sense.
