I'm not scarred after the last couple of weeks, but I will be celebrating the day that Westbrook, Mcnabb, and Reid are no longer Eagles.

Well I think what's most concerning about McNabb is his ability to extend plays, like Romo. The number of sacks McNabb has eluded against us, I'd wager, is higher than the number of times we've sacked him.

It's simply dangerous going against a quarterback who has that ability.

Better him than a guy who actually throws the ball with accuracy. When the Eagles were perennially owning us, it was because we had no answer to their blitzing aggressive defense, and they forced us to turn it over a ton. Mcnabb made his share of plays against our defense, because our defense wasn't great back then, but he's never been the thing that dominated us.

Now the tables are turned, and they have no answer for our defense. All they have now is a QB who short hops 3rd down passes to open receivers, and I'm glad he's staying.

So they are taking the exact opposite approach that Green Bay did with Favre/Rogers. They have Kolb sitting there with a contract that will expire after next year and they will still not know what they have. They will either have to give him big money or watch him leave.

As I said in another thread on this topic I'm starting to wonder if this is the year where the owner takes that decision out of Andy's hands by simply moving Donovan.

So washed up they did better than most of the league and got into the playoffs. 1 win away from a bye. They have been the leaders of the best teams in Eagles history. The sooner the Eagles go back to being the easy 2 wins they were for decades the better.

He will be the QB next year unless they get a high draft pick for him AND Kolb is ready for the job. My money is on him being the QB next year but after that I'm not guessing. Next year is the last year of his contract and he got a big raise but no extension this contract.

Donovan McNabb is still a good Quarterback but I believe the Eagles need to move as I don't think McNabb is going to take them to a championship.

When I saw this, two things came to mind:

First was I thought it was forced. Like he was trying to act loose and carefree to not only maybe try and convince himself, but his young team.

Second, when he ran into the glass wall, I was reminded how I always used to think McNabb was very "Carlton-like" (from Fresh Prince of Bel Air)... as in, not a naturally funny guy, but one who tried to be funny. Always tended to come off as awkward instead. I'll never forget an interview he did on some ESPN show (maybe PTI?) where he had a rubber snake around his kneck and everytime the interviewer would ask a question, McNabb acted like he had to confer with the rubber snake. Of course, he was giggling about it, but it wasn't at all funny.

One of the morning guys was saying he knew the Eagles had lost the moment he saw the dance.
