How do you play it now that we know how all the picks played out?
Rules are you can't take anyone that wasn't available at our pick and you have to stay with the numbered picks we used.

Feels good to say I wouldn't have made too many changes, also been pretty rare for me to say that.... although I've been pretty happy two years in a row now.

1) DE Taco
2) CB Chidobe
3) CB Lewis
4) I flip a coin for Butt or Desmond King but Butt wins cuz I get Woods later
6a) S Woods
6b) DE Bryan Cox Jr
7a) DT Ivie, I like this pick a lot more today than I did yesterday
7b) WR Brown
7c) LB Boulware

I think the biggest question is Taco at 28 > than Willis/Rivers/Basham at 60?

So Taco/Awuzie > K King/Willis?

Considering how much I like Awuzie I think we chose the right path in going with Taco 1st and waiting on the deep CB class.

I like what we did but looking at where players were taken this would have been my draft.

1. Reuben Foster. LB
2. Jordan Willis DE
3. Jourdan Lewis CB
4. Desmond King S
6a. Bucky Hodges TE
6b. Jalen Myrick CB
7a Isaiah Ford WR
7b Darius English DE
7c Orlovsky G

I was running the same scenarios yesterday and I agree with you. I think Taco got a little bit more criticism than he deserved and Willis got a little bit more credit than he deserved.

I still wish we would have drafted Butt instead of Switzer, and Dupree over Brown.

I think with the information they had at pick 28, taking the DE first was the right call because the chances were higher that a better CB would be available at 60 than a DE. But it does make you wonder if they would have reconsidered the decision if they knew those three DE's would be available at 60.

However, those three DE's ended up being 3rd round picks, which means they were not valued as highly as where some of these mocks had them going. It could very well be that the Cowboys did not value them as highly either.

1) Foster. I think I would have pulled the trigger on Foster, but Ive been following this kid since he was a soph. in high school, and he is a punk, not very bright, and stupid talented.

2) Lawson. He kept falling, but being honest, that would have been my pick if I went Foster in the 1st.

3) Lewis and a huge sigh of relief.

4) Butt

6a) Woods

6b) White. Simply because I need another CB and I'm pretty sure my list was empty at this point.

7a) Chad Kelly

7b) Brown. I loved this pick

7c) Dan Skipper

Honestly I think I like the way it turned out better. Lewis being there in the 3rd was huge.

Haha all these folks wanting Butt over Switzer and reaching for Butt after complaining about Dallas reaching for players.

Bet Switzer has a better career then Butt and I'm willing to also say Switzer makes you regret doubting him

If we hit on Switzer he helps our O and D with his return ability and puts a lot of stress on opposing D's with 2 Beasleys on the field.

On what planet was Jake Butt a reach in the 4th round?

Not a single person here would have taken Switzer over Butt pre-draft. Those that say they would are lying.

True, I honestly wasn't even thinking about Switzer, but I don't hate the pick. We will just have to see how Rico turns out, clearly the front office thinks he's the answer as a second TE next year and potentially the TE post Witten.

Switzer will be a pest for other teams.

Like your first six picks.

I said I would take Switzer in the first round months ago. What round did Butt go again

nice

Of course, you wouldn't have know you could get Woods later when on the clock in the 4th. So maybe King. I'm fine with the guy they got anyway.

Like this a lot also

I like all the picks except the Ivie picks, look like a real no hoper try hard but unathletic types we used to draft year ago in the 7th RD.

Knowing that Cox is udfa, why would you spend a 6th on him?

Regarding Butt vs Switzer

I would've been fine with either.

We definitely need to boost the return game and I love the idea of insuring Cole Beasley's role because it is super important to how Dak runs the offense.

I felt like a TE would help both Dak & Zeke but Ryan Switzer should be an upgrade over Lucky and give Dak another WR that can get open quick.
