When Dak starts drives from his own 21-50 457-654-197 incompletions 69.88% 5337 yards incredible! Most of his yard come from here. Unfortunately not so many TDs. His drives mostly stall out and we either take a field goal or punt. His red zone completion % dips and his completion % on opponents 1-10 is 48.2% should this be the other way around?

This was supposed to have a image, but it didn’t pop up. He has 3 TDs on drives starting from his own 21-50

Yum. Word salad.
There was a photo that i thought I could attach, that had highlighted numbers. But...yeah o well this thread will just get lost in the black hole of other Dak threads

Answer to this problem: The Oline.

How many 3rd or 4th and 1s did this Oline fail to get a simple push to open up enough room for 1 simple yard? Whether in between the 20s or inside the red zone, this Oline has been terrible the past 2 years in simply being able to help our rushing attack pick up a what should be easy one yard for a 1st down or TD.

Dak’s the QB get over it and yourself or go root for some other team.

The oline is such a easy answer, but we have more then most teams. I’ll admit there are some drives that get blown up from the start with penalty’s. But that’s a lot of yards and completions. With nothing to show for it

We have red zone personnel issues without Dez and without a legit TE threat.

I mean, it’s the QB and the coach.
I wish we could have fixed this problem by now, RPO and Dak running the ball is the easy answer. But why have we not done it? Would Garrett and company actually be telling Dak NOT to run the football? Idk. Maybe we can see some improvement next season and fast as possible

Addressing this in the draft? Should we? By this I mean a high draft pick considering we have no 1st

In the games after Cooper joined the team, Dallas tied for 1st in TD scored from OUTSIDE the red zone:
ATL 9
DAL 9
KC 9
NE 8
SF 8

Over that same stretch, the Cowboys ranked 25th INSIDE the red zone with 13 TD.

If we don’t do something to address the red zone personnel issue, add a playmaking upgrade to Beasley and a legit change of pace RB who can catch and return this offseason is a failure in my book. Even a second TE who can block would help a lot. That’s on top of signing our guys and adding depth with the draft picks.

In the red zone? He runs in the RZ a fair bit already.

They didn’t trust the run blocking in close this year. And Dak can’t really throw the fade well. I think we need another TE who can block and work the seams. Maybe Amare inside and over the middle a bit more inside the 20s. I’m all for Dak running more often in general. Connecting on the deep passes to Gallup would open up the TE seams a lot.

Then we just need to protect better off RT and Dak needs to not fumble. It’s all doable.

I'd expect completions to be harder within the 10. Compressed field. Particularly tough on Dak as he likes separation and is slow on the draw. On the other hand, Dak's run ability makes a big asset in that compressed field.

But as for those numbers within the 10, how do they compare with other QBs?

We're more of a move line than a push line. That should improve next year with the return of Fredbeard and multiple players competing for LG.

Chow down, Connor!
