Phillip merling is the latest. No thugs or hoodlums right parcells. That's the 4th dolphin to be arrested this offseason.

I was thinking the same thing.

Funny how that 'mantra' seems to no longer apply...

Man, I can't believe he was arrested for ____________________.

Could someone please fill in the blank?

If these were Cowboys players it would be all over national sports news.

Remember this is the guy that kept bringing back Keith Davis (don't get me wrong, I loved the guy) after he got shot... and then shot.... and shot again.

So did James Harrison and nothing happened to him.

In Pittsburgh you get away with far worse than family violence.

Wonder if Merling found out the g/f was working the street and the baby was going to be born wearing a pimp hat?

Dolphins' Merling on practice field days after assault arrest

The Dolphins have already seen defensive tackle Tony McDaniel arrested this offseason on suspicion of domestic violence. Running back Ronnie Brown and cornerback Will Allen have been charged with DUI.

There's a lot of facts out there right now and a lot of information and a lot of assumptions," Sparano said. "I'm not a judge. I'm going to gather it. I'm going to sit down. I'm going to visit with him. I'm going to talk to him about my end in the thing, which I've done already, and we're going to let the people that make the decisions down the road make some of those decisions, too."

Big Bill NoThug policy

It's a shame to have to see Sparano dragged down into the muck that the Dolphins organization is subjecting itself to. Hes a class act and a heck of a coach, whatever the faults of some of the other guys in the organization.
