Another drive given up by the defense

Ok, I am not blaming this game on the defense. But it's frustrating how in our 2 losses, the defense gives up a drive at the very end for them to take the lead. Now yes, we still had a shot in this one and should have tied it up.

But on both of these drives, they simply could not make a play at all. They never could make the play to get off the field. They let Denver and NY drive it right down their throats. And the bad thing is, no matter how good they played today, everyone knew Denver was getting points on that drive some way. Just how our defense is.

Newman should've got that INT. He was perfect position to make that play.

Yea we are always there but never make the play. Same as Spencer earlier. Went right through his hands and they scored their 1st TD. Sensebaugh also missed an easy pick earlier in the game. And the 1 turnover we did get was a gift and we almost fumbled that away because we tried and picked it up and run and put it back on the ground. Luckily we had someone there to fall on it.

We scored 10 points on offense....LOL
week1 Tampa went down to kick a fg right before the half thanks to tnew. they missed the fg though

week2 don't remember before the half but the Giants drove down to kick a game winning fg to win the game.

week3 Carolina drives down right before the half to score a td

week4 Denver drives down to score the winning td again thanks to tnew with less than 2 minutes left.

Idk what Wade is calling but we always give up plays and points right before the half or at the end of games. it's predictable now.

Seems to be a soft zone of some sort. Wants to keep it all in front but that lets the team drive it right down the field 8 yards at a time.

You've got to make these plays. You have to catch the ball. This team does this crap time and time again. And Spencer seems to be a guy who can make plays but doesn't. He's always at the right place at the right time but doesn't come up with the play. But when you get a chance to make a INT you have to make it. I've never seen footballs go right through a players hands on defense and go directly to the opposing player and I saw it TWICE today. Gotta make those plays Newman and Spencer.

He could of made a tackle too...

I agree but let me say that had Marshall not scored we probably lose the game on a field goal and MAY get the ball back with 0 timeouts left. Hate to give them an excuse for not making a play but I just felt we were doomed once Marshall got that first down.

the defense played their ***'s off and you could tell they were gassed in that 4th quarter. It's Romo and the offenses fault for not moving the ball any & giving the defense a breather by getting a couple first downs, but when they did move it the holding call on Marty B was hilarious, wow that really reall irked me...Give them some credit for crying out loud, sure after the Marshall catch the tackling was horrendous, t.new thought he had the INT but forgot about the 6'4 WR behind him when he shouldve just batted it down

Fact is that BOTH Denver's TD passes should have been picked. Spencer should still be running with a pick 6.

I am not sure, but did the guy who got two sacks last week on the final drive not get on the field this week?

Perhaps I was wrong, but I don't remember seeing Victor Butler at all.

A credit to the defense though... despite the turnovers, they held off the opposing offenses as long as they could... guys get tired.

That Marshall TD was pretty amazing...just solid individual play by him. But what I saw was a tired tired defense at that point....just like vs NYG.

Plus, 'cept for that Marshall Td, they weren't getting beat w/ huge plays. infact, that was only 1 of 2 20+yd gains Denver had all game. It was those slow yard by yard drives that just wore'em down.

What everyone seems to be missing is that if Denver had a better QB, this game wouldn't even of been close. Orton missed MANY shots as Romo did. Orton connects on a few. And this game is a blowout.

Victor Butler was MIA. Along with D-ware. Who is in jeopardy of not getting a big payday IMO.

I think that the bottom line here is that everyone needs someone to blame. But the reality is that in three of our four games now, the offense has done a HORRIBLE job of helping the defense. Whether it's turnovers or just settling for field goals... We haven't put any team away. Granted, we need to still find a way to keep making stops and win the game. But the offense handed the Giants 17 points (lost by only 3) and handed Denver 7 (lost by 7).... And when the defense helps out the offense, what do they do? NOTHING... just get picked (great play by Bailey, but horrible coverage) and get no points! UNACCEPTABLE!

For all of you *****ing about the defense, make sure to sticky this on your forehead. We won't win ANYTHING when our offense is putting up pansy numbers like that.

This offense is sorely lacking a legit #1 WR (sorry homers, Williams ain't it) and a decent supporting cast at the position. I wanted to believe that Austin, Hurd, and Crayton could get it done. The fact is, we've got two undrafted players and a late round QB crossover at the position. You know what? It looks like it. Brilliant personnel brain trust we've got going.
