For the few who remember, I had an issue with my fender coming off while I was out of town and needed to do a quick fix, so I duct taped the hell out of it. - http://cowboyszone.com/threads/need-quick-fix-idea-for-fender-repair.212885/

Well, I was out of town again and had another issue with a hanging car part. This time my mirror was broken off after my mom fell down when she lost her footing stepping onto a sidewalk. She tried to catch herself, but it didn't work and she fell. She's ok, BTW.

Anywho, since I was getting on the road, I needed a quick fix...and duct tape was the magic elixir yet again. This time, we used painters tape, packaging tape, AND duct tape. Shout out to my brother for his artwork. lol

Nice. I need this done to my passenger side mirror as well, as some jerk apparently deliberately broke it off while I was away on vacation for a week.

So far, it's hanging on pretty good. It's not hanging as upright as it was when my brother first taped it up, but at least it's not dangling and hitting the car. I can't see a thing right not, but if it can just hold on for another week, then I can take it to the dealer to get fixed.

One of mans best inventions. :D

Indeed it is... lol

If you want the best, get professional gaffer's tape. It's high end duct tape, for when lives depend on it.

BTW that looks far better than the version I had on my truck side mirror....

I'm really hoping to never need duct tape again.. But since this latest incident, I'm tempted to keep a roll in the trunk from now on.

Have you ever thought about buying a new car? lol

Pretty soon your whole car is going to be nothing but a roll of duct tape with an engine, wheels and steering wheel.

Ha! Nah, this is actually a totally different car than the one mentioned in the OP. Wrecked it over the holidays and got another car. Just found it funny that something like this happened to me again when I was out of town.

Sorta a hijack but does anyone know if this stuff-Gorilla tape is even stronger than regular duct tape? I am using it as a fastener for a customized keyboard pull out because the wood panel is so thin I am scared of using metal and screws to fasten it to a thin rod.

Have you ever considered taking a bus?

(never mind...you can't take duct tape on a bus).

Have a friend drive you in their car.

I don't know about that tape, but Gorilla Glue is the best. Just get the glue that has two small bottles that you have to mix together for as much as you need. Good stuff...

Google "things made with duct tape"
I've met a couple of people who make a living creating things with duct tape. 1 made artwork and the other made everything from wallets to purses to raincoats to shoes to bracelets to hats...... It's Amazing
