Since it's the offseason, there's seldom interesting things to discuss. I was watching the World Cup and it got me thinking how there really are tremendous athletes all over the world; not just in the NFL.

If you could grab one athlete from any other sport to play on our team, who would you take?

Popular choices would be Lebron at TE, or Usain Bolt at WR.

But there are plenty of others to choose from. Imagine Russell Westbrook or Nate Robinson at corner, Mike Trout at safety (good lord!)

Even Ronaldo at WR. He's widely regarded as the fastest soccer player in the world and one of the most agile.

Just a question for you guys out of curiosity...

I'm taking Usain Bolt at WR just for the sheer fact that he's the fastest recorded human to have ever lived. 6'5" and can outrun any NFL player who's ever laced up their cleats. Even if you just sent him on fly routes, he'll catch one eventually; even if he's double covered.

Hmmm....
LBJ...line him up at TE...
and he's a student... would be a beast..

I know he has a reputation as the worst flopper in the NBA aside from Ginobili. Do you think he wouldn't shy away from Kam Chancellor running at him?

Not sure if he'd be willing to make those catches in traffic. Now the redzone on the other hand...

I he takes a lot of physical punishment... but he is a flopper...
I think the competitor in him would allow him to excel.
and he'd probably hurdle kam....

Jason Heyward is a pretty easy choice for receiver.

I've always thought Westbrook would be an unbelievable shutdown corner. Six two or three with that kind of speed and quickness, plus super competitive and tough? He wouldn't be a Deion type who wouldn't tackle.

I'd like to see Phil Mickelson at punt returner. Great swing, great vision, and wears his visor forward most of the time.

I really like that, think you're probably right.

Though the footwork and movement needed for corner is a lot different than anything on the bball court..

Usain Bolt, getting jammed, running with equipment on and in less than optimal conditions. I don't even know if he can catch cause I've never seen him catch ANYTHING.

I'd take Westbrook though, he's so quick and agile. I think he could translate to a position in the NFL.

Kakuryu Rikisaburo
Current Yokozuna

6'1" 323 lbs and he's only 28!

He'd make a nice NT or LG. (Dual threat?)
