EA is doing SO much to improve the game. It's going to be incredible, just read up on some of the improvements they're making to make it more "sim"

I usually rent it for a couple of days. Saves me 50 bucks when its all said and done. They never have anything remotely new anymore.

Yeah, I'm going to get it too. I haven't bought the game in 3 years since every year it has been the same game with different rosters. Looks like they finally decided to invest in the engine...

Thats why I am losing more and more interest in the game. Every year it gets harder and harder to have an impact as a defensive player. You basically call plays and watch the action. LAME!

An idea I have for EA is to take the Super Star mode and turn it into an 11 on 11 online game where each person has one position on offense and one on defense and you have to execute your assignments and actually play some football. Let them create their own names, have training sessions to improve players, create your own playbooks etc. Now that would be a good time.

Really? Oh man we had a fantasy draft franchise, and I won DPOY with Polamalu with 13 picks. I love playing defense.

And the 11 on 11 will come with time. NBA 2k9 just started 5 on 5, so give it time and it will come.

But I'm always disappointed. I cannot wait for EA's contract with the NFL is up.

Fifa has 10 on 10 where everybody picks a position but the goalie.

My biggest complaint the past couple years has been the game is not in any way realistic. Fifa and MLB do a great job of trying to be sims, where Madden is like an arcade game.

Don't really care what the graphics look like, if the franchise is as blah as the last few years, I'm waiting it out... They have some guys there now that developed Head Coach ;ast year, so I'm crossing my fingers.

Fifa has one of the most arcadeish (SP?) feels in the world. The way you score goals on that game is 1 in 100...and it happens all the time.

Yeah NHL 09 has 6 on 6 called online team play.

Which is all i play on NHL 09 , and its pretty fun.

Chalk me up as one of those "dummies" who buys Madden AND NCAA Football every single year. Spare me the arguments, I've heard them ad nauseum.

I don't care what changes are made. I don't care how much the graphics improve.

I love Madden. Pure and simple. I guess paying 60 bucks for roster updates is crazy, but I AM clinically insane to begin with.
