This article sounds like it was written by a 9th grader.

McClain has HOF talent and his potential is unlimited. He is a bonafide game changer. This is why the Cowboys are taking a chance on him and the fact that he is just 26 years old. At 26, he is basically just a kid trying to find his convoluted way, whatever path that may be. If his light ever comes on then he could be the best LB in the NFL and a HOF career. I really like McClain, but he has to show up day in and day out to be a leader. Please, please, show me RO.

Rolando brings an attitude to a defense when he is on.

As mentioned, for the money we are paying him, there isn't another middle linebacker like him in the league.

Kuechly and Wagner are not like McClain. McClain compares to Brian Urlacher and Jeremiah Trotter historically in terms of type. Wagner and Kuechly go around people. McClain goes through them. They also could not survive nearly as well playing behind Skates Hayden.

Great points. And so is the one about him being healthy and engaged to be considered the best MLB....there were several games he was not engaged and he really looked like just a guy. There were 4 or 5 games where he was the best player on the field.

The author says we were 9-4 with him on the field as the leader. Since we played 18 games, that means we were 4-1 when he wasn't on the field. Hardly helps his argument.

I am glad we resigned him. He showed enough a year ago that he earned another go round. If he wants a long term deal he has to be even better....more consistent. And there have to be fewer off the field issues.

I'm excited about what he can do now that he can go through the offseason conditioning. He didn't come over last year until July. Off season doesn't officially start until next week but by all accounts, a lot of guys are already there working out and having field days.

You can argue that they went 9-4 because McClain was on the field, but you can't argue that they went 4-1 because he wasn't. You also have to factor in opponent, location, etc.

Yes, you have to consider those other things, but just the number itself doesn't mean a thing. It's just as ridiculous either way.

Don't you hate those type of stats? You can make them say whatever you want: Cowboys were 12-4 WITHOUT Sean Lee.

I'm a huge Sean Lee fan but he won't last 8 games...I like Mcclaines fire and the enthusiasm he brings. Im a huge Mcclain supporter and think hes good for 20 games this year..I've given up on Lee..some players just can't play in the NFL..Their body won't let them...

Thus the concussions that some like to label as a weakness. For health sake, hopefully they work with him on his technique. But please don't touch the nasty (i. e., running through people).
