First, my sources:
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospectrankings/TSX/2011?&print_rows=9999

http://www.draftcountdown.com/features/Value-Chart.php

Second, my trades:
Dallas trades #9, #71 to St. Louis for #14, #47, #111
(trade balance to Dallas when Julio falls, Rams outbid for him)

Dallas trades #109, #140 to Seahawks for #98
(trade is more or less balanced, Dallas grabs a player they like)

#14 Gabe Carimi OL Wisconsin
Despite the rankings on CBS, I think Tyron Smith gets taken before this pick, so I'll go with another fine choice.

#40 Marvin Austin DL UNC
Terrific athlete with personal questions. I'm not too worried about them though, so I'd go with him at this position.

#47 Brooks Reed OLB Arizona
His workouts have made him a commodity worth taking a chance on here. Ryan will need to bring in LB's every year.

#98 Kelvin Sheppard ILB LSU
Love his attitude and leadership. I'm not as comfortable with the ILB set we have as others.

#111 Chris Culliver DB South Carolina
His injury gives us a chance to pick up this versatile secondary player.

#171 Brandon Fusco OC Slippery Rock
Promising small school development player. A year of NFL coaching and workouts might see him replacing Gurrode.

#209 Aldrick Robinson WR SMU
Small, but fast. At #209 you just pick a pet cat. I like this kid along with Mario Fannin, Bruce Miller and am checking out Andrew Jackson.

I usually hate mocks with trades but I'll tell you what, they're kinda fun to do.

I like Carimi and Reed although I doubt they go OLB that early.

Culliver is a player that's going to sneak up on people come draft day.

I'm not a fan of Austin and I can tell you neither are the Cowboys not to mention he's not that well of a fit in Rob's scheme.

I like the pick of Sheppard although I'm still on the fence about him. I guess I more like the idea of addressing the ILB depth and with out knowing who's left I have no issues with the pick.

I like Fusco alot but he's a 3 year project at least, I dont think Dallas has that time and there are other promising players more ready to contribute now along the OL avaliable around the 6th round.

Hard to complain about a 7th round pick. It's a nice time to look for speed, maybe a project that can return kicks and help out on special teams coverage right away. I would of preferred Bruce Miller but I'm not even sure he will be an option in the 7th come April.

Good to know Austin's off the table. I wanted to get a big body in there early and he's my favorite fit there. Kendrick Ellis maybe?

I'm disturbed by the lack of ILB depth and think someone like KJ Wright or Mason Foster might be good there. Sheppard should be solid there. As for OLB, you're likely right. I just don't see much there after this pick, that's more probably just ignorance of the players on my part. However, I don't see Spencer getting paid by the Cowboys if he doesn't produce more of a pass rush and his replacement isn't likely on the team right now.

Take a guard before an OLB and take a FS before Sheppard although I like him a lot.

Seems a bit high for a RT though I like the player.

Austin wouldn't seem to fit as a five 'nique.
