The notion that Bill doesn't have enough time to groom and win with a young quarterback. Cowher just proved otherwise.

Yeah this is what Ben's 2nd year as a pro. But it still won't happen us drafting a QB

As usual you are wrong. Ben will be the youngest starting QB in SB history. Even for someone like you that should hint that getting to the SB with a young QB is kind of HARD. BUT then fanatics with an agenda like you are strangers to the cold hard facts of the NFL. Young QB's make lots of mistakes that tend to insure that you DON'T MAKE IT TO THE BIG ONE.
This will be the 40th SB- and only NOW has such a young QB made it. AND he did not carry the team there- though he did today. Remember how few passes he makes compared to most any other QB in the game?
Just a few facts for you to chew on.

Ben was coming straight out of college with recent football experience, and was a first round pick. He had great weapons, a great offensive line, and the number one defense when Tommy Maddox was injured (he was not sent out because Cowher wanted to develop him). With that said, he had the weapons to succeed, something we don't have the luxury of. Why set your possible QB up for failure, especially when we have one that's currently putting up probowl numbers? Please.

So true.

And also like him or not Eli Manning is on his way to being a very good QB to.

Lets see....in Big Bens 2nd year in the NFL...he puts up a QB rating of way over 100 in the AFC Championship and helps leads his Steelers to the Super Bowl in games all on the road.

I am actually at the point where I have more faith in Mike Zimmer then Bill Parcells....seriously.

Pitt just pulled it off. You have no faith in Bill doing the same?? I thought you were a Tuna supporter?

I'm a "fanatic" for pointing out the lie that you can't win with a young QB? Like it's a secret that Bill prefers past-their-prime vets at the skill positions? You make it sound like Roeth is an anomoly or aberration. He's not. Stop making excuses for Bill's arrogance, stubborness, and ineptitude.

This will be the 40th SB- and only NOW has such a young QB made it. AND he did not carry the team there- though he did today.

You're a joke. Roeth guides his team to the AFC Champ Game two years in a row and you make him sound like a spare part. Have fun with the bus drivers in Dallas.

Remember how few passes he makes compared to most any other QB in the game? Just a few facts for you to chew on.

Stop the hatin'.

True but Big Ben is proof young QBs can win.

Tom Coughlin chose to dump Kurt Warner in the 04 season and go with Eli. When he did this the Giants were not even KOd from the playoffs yet. Well it payed off. Eli looked pretty good in 05 and got his team to the playoffs.

Eli is only gonna get better.

Now us......:lmao2: :lmao2:

hey buddy, Bill COwher didn't put Big Ben on the field

an injury to Tommy Maddox did

Go back and look at my 1st reply to you. I said it was true.

The difference between Cowher and Parcells is this. If Parcells coached the Steelers as soon as Maddux was healthy again Big Ben woulda been back on the bench.

Ben is the exception that proves the rule that YOU DO NOT WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP with a young QB. ONE OUT of 40.

Once again stupidity rears its head. BP goes with theot hand. As long as we were winning he would have played Roths- ony when he started to make mistakes would he have pulled him.

:jerk:

Big Ben started 5-0, and Parcells said he really liked him, plus Maddox wasn't even healthy until the end of the season

but don't let facts get in the way of your agenda
