Another note about Tony Romo

My goodness. We could have a thread about Marcus Spears and this guy would still be talking about the sorryness of Romo and his butthurtness about not having TO again.

*resists urge to hit ignore until he starts talking regular football again*
Don't fight it. Give in to your urges. I would if I could.

Hmmm. wow. Montana, Brady, Staubach? I'd even throw in Elway and Bradshaw as better, at least more effective.

The best QB of all time imo would be Brady or Montana. If Brady had Montana's teams, I think Brady would have been better. So...I'd have to say Brady is the best I've ever seen.

Oh as a side note, I do remember little Tony Romo's cowboys beating the Peyton Manning Colts a few years back 21-14 or something like that!

I agree with Hos.

Peyton is the best I've ever seen.

He struggles vs 3-4 defenses, but everyone has their kryptonite, and he's beaten it before.

Ok. Brady 3 superbowl wins. Peyton 1 win. But Brady is not even the greatest of this generation?

If you count championships, you'd say Brady.

If you count everything else, it's Peyton.

You could also make the case that Peyton on Brady's teams would win 4 or 5 Super Bowls.

But this debate will go on forever, and no one will ever change sides. So, it's better to let bygones by bygones and agree to disagree.

Well if Championships don't count in this debate, I would take Marino and Elway as better pure passers than Peyton. Unfortunately or fortunately QB's are judged largely by super bowl wins. There is something wrong with Peyton, there is a chink in his armor or else he would have won more by now. Heck, even his little brother has a SB ring. Peyton has had a failing in big games. (Unfortunately our Romo has the same issue).

If I needed one QB for one important game and I could pick from anyone out there it wouldn't be Peyton Manning.

I don't mind debating folks, as long as its friendly. And love your avatar. Stay thirsty my friend.

Brady + Cheating = 3 Super Bowl wins.

Belichick would be a once in a generation super-genius to have won the games he did against his opponent's strengths. It's been proven statistically that he's 3 orders of standard deviation beyond the baseline.

By way of somewhat applicable comparison, that's getting close to the intelligence of the human race versus chimpanzees.

You think Belichick is that much more of a football super genius compared to the rest of the NFL's coaching elite, or did he just break every rule he could once he failed miserably in Cleveland?

Ok now we're getting into statistics with standard deviations and stuff? I'd love going down that path. But this is football we're talking about right? I didn't know we were talking about coaches here. Belicheck got caught cheating huh? I didn't see the memo where those superbowl victories were voided.

I thought we were talking about QBs. I still think Brady is pretty good. I'd take him over Peyton. Best QB of all time? Who knows? Peace.

Brady's dont count because the Pats had to cheat to win those bowls. I know Brady got hurt, but it sure is interesting that as soon as the league busted the Pats and took away their tapes they have become average in a hurry.

They didnt even make the playoffs last year (Brady got hurt, but they still had Cassel who is a starting NFL QB) and this year they dont even look like the same team with losses to a pair of teams that were not even in the playoffs last year (Jets and Broncos). Also, the Bills had them beat on openning night and blew a 2 TD lead with 3 freaking mins left. So that should have been another loss.

It is just funny how as soon as the league took their tapes away, they look very, very average.

Brady with tapes = 18-0

Brady's next 6 complete games = 3-3

Wow I thought I had a lot of senior moments
Take your pick and a I bet it is not Peyton Manning.
John Elway
Peyton Manning
Tom Brady
Dree Brees
those are your choices to start a team it is no contest.

John Elway won despite Dan Reeves, Wade Philips, and never having a real receiver(even the three amigo's were cast off's) he ran a 4.6 in the forty and could make any throw other than the short screen pass with touch. He is lucky that he had supporting staff around him at the end of his carreer or he could of been overlooked much like Peyton's father Archie during his prison sentence in New Orleans now that was a tragedy.
Just another perspective, not sure anyone can be sure but after seeing what Elway could do in the fourth quarter by himself and no probowl receivers it would be hard to seperate him from this conversation. He carried a mediocre team and coaches to the superbowl more than any of these guys. Go Cowboys

Roger was the best QB of his era pre rules change.
Montana was the best of the next era
Now this era its between Peyton and Brady- difference is that Brady has always had a Top D and Peyton has not.
