As a card carrying member of the Order of the Old Guard. Thanks.
It's still hard to believe Tom Landry isn't here anymore.

curious, did/do the cowboys fly out of love field or dfw?

For years they flew only Braniff Airlines. So if Braniff had terminals at Love it is entirely possible they did. They for sure fly out of DFW now and for many years.

ok thanks, i have this weird fascination for the logistics involved with the cowboys behind the scenes. for some reason i thought they used to fly out of love field b/c of the close proximity to the old cowboys offices and the fact that a lot of the cowboys lived in that north dallas/highland park area.

Roger always had that Presidential look to him. That looks like a quick staff meeting aboard Air Force One. :)

I want to say both but I'm pretty sure I would be wrong.

I know Braniff flew out of love field until 1974, I believe, when they opened a terminal at DFW, 2W. The Cowboys did fly in and out of Love Field as late as 1979 after Super Bowl XIII.

So to corrrect myself I think they flew in and out of Love field, where they continued to to house their Aircraft maintenance operations, for their charter flights even after the airlines move to DFW

I wonder if Tom was comfortable with the duties that may have been required of him.

Landry: "Craig Morton. He'll start, but I'm counting on YOU."

Roger: "Serenity Now!!'"

I don't know why this is only for the "old guard"

I think it's pretty awesome :starspin:

Hear! Hear! That is exactly right. Great photo, Hos. Thank you for it. Great memories of where our heritage reflected a culmination of championship mentality, leadership and performance. A pic that signifies the very best of where we came from. LOVE IT!

too young to have seen laundry much..but wow how focused is he. No wonder he has such success.

Idk, if you've been watching for the last decade - featuring the likes of Flozell Adams - I think you've seen plenty of laundry ; )
