I love Ellis, not thrilled about the rest of the mock.

We know you don't like Tyron Smith, but what is wrong with Stefen Wisniewski in the second?

I like Ellis in the 4th, but I think he is gone before then.

This is why we need to add more picks. The only way we can do that is trading back multiple times in the 1st. We have so many holes to fill and not knowing when FA period will begin the draft is all we have.
We need to get in the draft is a RT, atleast one OG if not two, 3-4 DE, NT, FS and a CB.

I think once FA period does begin we can pick up two vet safeties. Guys the are msart and knows the system. Elam, Pool, and Huff makes sense for that. Also Manning is from the area and would be a great SS in Ryan system.
Justin Blalock will be nice addition but depending on the new CBA he might be a RFA.

I would love to walk out of the draft with a RT(Carimi/Smith/Sherrod/Castanzo) which ever is there when we pick after trading back. Then get Harris, Williams, a 3-4 DE in Ballard, Thorton, Guy, Jenkins, then a NT like Ellis, Williams, or Neild and OGs like Rackley and Cannon.

Trading back a few time in the first is the only way to make that possible. I think being able to add players like that is worth more value to the current state of this team than SMith at 9 or Prince at 9 will add.

Why does so many people like Wisniewski. The guy is garbage vs top players. He was owned by Florida and Alabama, Also had a bad day vs Iowa. Sorry but if you don't preform good vs NFL talent then I don't think he can cut in the NFL.

He is young. I think he be a staple in someones OL in the not to distant future. The guy has a lot of positives going for him.

There are a lot of players that didn't come into the NFL dominating in college who are pro bowlers / all pro once their careers got rolling. Some of them got cut several times before they ever made an impact in the NFL.

It's not even that I don't like Smith, he just worries me. If it were later in the draft, even in the 1st, I'd be more open to his selection.

I'm okay with Wisniewski, I'd actually love to have him at center but I think (like Tyron) he'll have a problem with NFL power at guard. If you're taking Tyron in the 1st, and then another guy that may have issues with power in the 2nd... just not in love with that combination.

I'm also not particularly high on Carter, who I see as strictly a SS in the NFL.

Woods, I don't really know anything about.

But I think I can get a better play than Wisienski at 40. I have a list load of players on board above him at 40. I wouldn't take him until the late 3rd. He isn't no where close the best OG or C in this draft.

He isn't strong and doesn't fit Dallas style, he is more of a zone blocking or pass blocking canter or OG. Indy would love to have but Dallas likes big mean strong OL.

Danny Watkins is another guy I think Dallas will target in the 2nd round. I think he could be the man if they like him better than Wisniewski.

With Quinton Carter, he most likely is strictly a strong safety, but that's exactly what Dallas needs. I'm almost positive Huff will be a Cowboy, so he'll be our FS. Carter would bring a physical presence that is lacking in the secondary. Jenkins and Sensabaugh are finesse players, I want toughness in the secondary.

I like this draft, though I have to admit I don't know anything about Lindsay-Woods.

I think we could have several starters from this draft within two years.

False..........

He graded out 88% on passing plays and 91% on running plays vs Alabama in which on 68% of those plays he faced Marcell Dareus.

He graded out 83% on passing plays and 87% on running plays vs Auburn in which on 73% of those plays he faced Nick Fairley.

In comparison, the avg percentage of any offensive lineman over the course of a year was 82% on passing plays and 87% on running plays meaning Wisniewski graded better or on par with all offensive lineman while facing arguably the best two DT's in the game.

Don't think for a moment when a prospect like Fairley, Dareus and Wisniewski all face similar opponents in a year that fact is lost on scouts.

It was a shot in the dark and you missed.

Makes sense to me. I like Watkins as well, his age doesn't scare me as much as most. If he were younger, he'd be a sure fire first rounder, perhaps even the first guard taken.

He definitely would. He doesn't have a lot of tread on the tires either; he's only been playing football for a couple of years. He hasn't even reached his true potential yet IMO.

Question for you, i'm a PSU season ticket holder and i'd love to have Wiz on the boys, but was curious what you know about how he graded out as a center than at guard? In my amateur opinion he was much better at guard than at center. Is that the consensus in scouting circles?

Deunta Williams over Carter all day long

how come hes listed as a FS ?

Deunta is a risk IMO. Add that to the fact that the Cowboys already have a young safety coming back from injury in AOA. I doubt the Cowboys would draft another safety in the 3rd round who may not even be ready to contribute this year. Just my two cents.

I'll see what I can find out for you. It's a good question and for the record I agree with you although he recently met with the Eagles who really like him at Center.

I once drunkenly blathered on about how I don't like Wiz. I still don't. I have no concrete facts or examples to back up anything I am saying. I just think he'll wash out. But I am, self-admittedly, not great at the analysis of players so if the Cowboys get him I hope I'm wrong.

If the Eagles get him, he can rot. Or just wash out of the league and become an accountant. He's sharp.

No way Wisniewski graded that high on Fairley. They haven't played each the last 3 years
