This time by a player, and clearly intentional. He got $15K penalty, so at least Goodell and Co. stay the course with hitting coaches harder than players as in the Wade Wilson case.

I remember Fox Sports saying something about this on its site. This same play happened on the same day the other one did. They were trying to figure out why this didn't get much play as the other one. They felt this one was worse because the player actually leaves the bench to go and prepare for the hit on the guy.

Unbelievable! Tell me why this isn't assault? ;)

To me it looks like he moves up because it looked like the Falcon guy was going to go full on into the bench before he altered his route. I'm not sure he went up there intending to hit the guy, and perhaps he just got an urge as he was going by. Is there not any higher quality video of it?

Another question is...why was the other guy still blocking so far out of bounds? I thought that was illegal.

Because assault is only causing the immediate apprehension of some unsanctioned or harmful bodily contact. Actually causing said contact constitutes a battery ;)

Oh, you have gone to the dark side for certain. Going to get you a t-shirt with these logos on it:

with the tag line "I iz a law stewdint. I know the difrenz btwene a salt and battery."

Then the second year law students can explain the issue with improper use of a proprietary corporate identity, or something.

I think any clear case of cheating should be combined with a suspension and not just a fine.
