I know everyone is upset at Vandy and everyone has a right to feel that way. Here is what Vandy had to say after the game.

"It sucks," he said. "It sucks to let your team down. It sucks to let the fans of Dallas down. I apologize. There's nothing more I can do other than to say I'm sorry."

It takes a lot for someone to say they are sorry and you never know what is going on with someone outside of work etc. Having said that there is something special personally when your team doen't give up on you. I promise you this when you let your team down and they never stop believing in you there is nothing you wouldn't do for them.

I am not giving up on Vandy and I hope with all my heart he gets a chance to rectify things because I know from personal experience it would mean a lot to him. Just like TO getting that TD against the Cards after the drop against the Skins.

This team needs to come together on all fronts.

Here is my take on Vandy...

The first miss...that one was for Manning...

The second miss was for Herm...

Just a little payback for him calling out his QB and his coach...because he knew that the Cowboys were going to win the game anyways...

Those were deliberate misses...just so he could rectify his statements...he missed on purpose...

Stupid is, as stupid does...

And, if you did not see the satire in my post...you are more stupid then I thought!

I'm not worried about Vanderjagt at all. It appeared to me that he had a simple mechanical flaw on all his kicks yesterday. I'd bet his personal kicking coach (if he has one) has already showed him where he made his mistake and it's probably corrected.

My personal take on it is that he's dipping his shoulder. I'd bet that him kicking off has something to do with it because it's often an attempt to compensate when trying to power a ball.

Think of kicking a football as a golf swing. Really trying to pop a drive out there in a scramble after a teammate already striped one down the middle can screw with one's swing with scoring irons.

Did you read JJT's column? Vandy's "woe is me" act is getting old.

He makes big bucks to kick, he can't kick. I don't feel sorry for a guy who can't do what he makes huge money to do. In fact he should return part of his money if he feels so bad. He is asked to work about two minutes a game, if that.

The kicking flaw is not getting corrected. He has had it all year and it started in training camp. All of his kick are drifting right so if he is more that 25 yards out he is in trouble. If he was going to correct it he should have done it by now. This is why he Bill worried.

News flash:

I thought I detected satire (such as it is) but thought that in its simplicity and over the top quality that you just might be saying what you really believed. (Eeek! Hey, what is your icon doing with his hand?????) :) :)

Sometimes if you actualize the fear of failure you lose the fear of failure. Let's hope this was worse enough so he believes he has nowhere to go but up.

...Vandy has been missing wide right all through TC. In his first game, Washington, he made two kicks coming right to left. His 50 yarder was good on the right side of the uprights.

Against Tennessee he whacked the right upright. Against Houston he shanked one right, but it was a 26 yarder so it was still good. Against Carolina he bonked another off the right upright.

There is a pattern here and let's be honest. Some of the discussion makes it sound like this is something that Vandy is able to correct and we can drop the issue.

The real issue is that Vandy still can kick and he gets good contact on the ball, he just can't kick to the left side of the uprights for the life of him.

I'm sorry too. He needs to tell his boyfriend or his pet rock to lay off him for a little while if that would help things. He's got the 2nd easiest job on the team besides Matt McBriar and he gets paid a lot to do it.

It's weird because he has made most of kicks this year, yet I never feel confident with him kicking.

...mistrust if he would just get his kicks and PATs down the middle.

All the fans have two eyees and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that Vandy fools around too much with the right upright.

Your lack of confidence is not misplaced.
