Another take on Witten returning or not

It’s no coincidence that whatever happened occurred right after they took control of the division and appeared a lock to make the playoffs. I believe part of Witten’s decision to retire was his belief that the team was not a playoff team and would have no WRs to take the focus off him. All of a sudden both of those things are no longer true and his gig will be up while Dallas still has games to play. I think it could happen.

People forget the full Stephen quote.

When he said that Dak didn't like Dez in his ear, Witten was included as well.

Or this part after your "full" quote...

"You got great players like Dez and Witten, they want the ball," Jones said from training camp. "Everybody sees it. It's on every team. They let the quarterback know that sometimes. In no way was it intended to be negative."

If you're going to go full quote go full quote...

That said, I wish him well, I rooted for him, but it is time to move on.

I think a lot of it has to do with wanting to get rid of players who don't believe in Garrett and Linehans offensive philosophies as well.

The smarter the player becomes the more they hate our offense so these old vets became disgruntled with defenses running their routes for them.

I remember on all or nothing the coaches made a comment about Dak not believing in what they wanted to do.

JG saved his job so it would be shocking if Linehan is brought back. Dallas has to change some things offensively and Linehan is just not the guy for the job.

Yea, that's what I was referring to but I was too lazy to go find it lol.

Dallas for sure doesn't need someone else to hold or jump off sides
