Last night NO got slapped around by this offense. We all agree.

But the real elephant in the room is TWill and his contribution. My whole perspective about this offense is predicated on who will step up when they try and silence the big guns.

Witten obviously has his hat in the ring, but it takes the supporting cast to make this offense as potent as any Dallas has fielded since Irvin/Harper.

Teams will see this film and now have to contend with TWill. he is not JAG anymore and will have to be accounted for. So much so that NO moved their best corner over to Dez last night because TWill was tearing them a new rear. They were looking for any way to fix the problem of Our Other Guy.

That, my friends, is respect.

But perhaps the best aspect to this is Dez did not pout or show his rear. he played through it, and in the end beat a guy for a brilliant TD. Romo was pointing a laser beam last night.

They say it takes a village - which I think is crap.

But our village showed up last night and tanned some of that Who Dat rear.

There are times when things go so well, the profanity filter should be shut down on Monday's. I don't think you can accurately express the correct feeling without dropping some cuss words on how well that went.

Up the man.

Yes, this i\s Twodeep3 as giddy as you've even seen me. I am becoming tediously happy.

Agree on the Dez thing. Winning games is good tonic. If they were losing and he was not getting the ball it may be different.

it's a trap!

Seriously though, I'm happy they're 3-1 but I'll wait till they beat a couple of teams with a winning record to get excited. If they win in Seattle I'll shave my head and post tbe pics right here on CBZ.

I think all of Cowboys nation would go into a collective shock.

If they beat Seattle or about the shaved head photo?

Williams was my favorite pick of that draft, I thought we got a major steal at the time and I'm glad that he's been playing so well.

The Frederick/Williams draft has proved already to be an amazing set of picks, while everyone in the NFL was laughing at us.

Absolutely.

The 2013 trade back in the draft that gave us Frederick and Williams is probably one of the best things to ever happen to this franchise in terms of sheer productivity.

This. Its awesome to actually look back at a draft and say looks like we made the right move, instead of cursing ourselves for missing on "insert player" because we made this move (2012 comes to mind)

Defenses are packing in between the numbers more this year to stop guys like Beasley from using those pick patterns. It's a big reason why the Patriots are not having as much success on offense this year.

So with the team running the ball so well and having to protect in the box against Beasley and Witten, it gives up room out on the perimeter for Dez and Williams to go one-on-one with no safety help over the top. And combine that with the stretch runs, it makes life difficult for an opposing D-Coordinator.

You can then guard more against Dez, but then you have to worry about Beasley hitting some sort or pivot pattern and you're taking an extra guy off to help in run support.

This is still a league where guys that provide mismatches of offense can be more productive than the offenses that feature that 1 or 2 star player(s).

The one issue I am flummoxed over is when the Saints had no one on Street and Romo flipped that fade to him. With his long strides, why not just take off and let Romo throw deep?

I could not see the whole field, so that may not have been feasible. But that safety would not have been able to keep up, I think.

That play confused me as well. Street goes for 6 if he sprints.

Agreed. I'm not eating the cheese, as Parcells would say. I will enjoy the winning while it lasts though.

The TV perspective didn't show how wide open Street was. There was NO ONE out there to cover him. He would have had plenty of time to catch the ball and beat the defenders downfield. What screwed up the play was that Romo gave no indication of seeing Street out there all alone. He might have or he might not have. But Murray sees it and starts calling it Romo's attention, which also called it to the Saints defenders attention. And that's why the defender got there so quickly. However, I agree that if Street had taken off it would have been a TD because the defender could not have caught up.

One of the best threats we have is the O line. It's nice to see running lanes and Romo not having to run for his life every other play.

Play was a 3rd down and Dallas was looking at picking up 1st down. I would like to see Street be more aggressive in situations like that.

One might wonder if Linehan will address this in a meeting and remind the skill players to not call attention to the defensive mistake and for the receivers to run the post. Because Romo will see this. He is at a stage where he sees it all. Has been for a while.

I wouldn't go in shock I think we can beat any team. I wouldn't be shocked if we lost either.

We got Houston up next though so can't wait till Martin and Free pancake Watt and Murray runs over him

What I saw was Street not attacking the ball being aggressive and snatching it instead kind of let the ball come to him. Dez is great about going after it not just letting it get to him.
