The best team doesn’t win again. The Eagles will join the list of worse teams to win it. This wasn’t even their best team to play in a Super Bowl.

And this wasn’t one of the best Patriot teams either. Oh well. Such is life in the watered down Cap era.

We have a new one year wonder some will want to model around.

You are s full of it. They beat three of the best teams in the league. They did it being handicapped. They did it with what will be the face of the NFL on the sideline. Clearly the best coach this year was Doug Pedersen. They beat teams by 14 points on average.
I suspect you're just mad knowing you won't sniff a division title let alone a SB for years to come. This team fully healthy with their QB and their schemes and their coaches will run roughshod over the NFCE. You have a delusional old man with limited football knowledge overseeing a mediocre team with sub par coaching. Good luck...

Typical Eagle fan with personal insults .

So, who’s going to be your QB next year?

And let me guess. You’re not old enough to recall those more dominating Eagle teams of the past?

Hey, I just want to congratulate you on your Super Bowl. Your team earned it from my POV. You guys just went up against New England, and stifled them. You made them look as competent as a Garrett-coached team. *holds out my hoof to shake your hand/wing* Hopefully, this will wake up Jerry, but that's for other threads. For now, well done. Your city is truly the city of underdogs, and truly showed why you belonged in the Super Bowl. And it saddens me to know that your team is just getting started while Jerry still likes Garrett.

Stop guessing? It makes you look stupid, as if you needed much help there. Does it matter who the next QB is? What separates us from you is we have a GM who can turn a player into an asset and then turn that asset into a better player. Your owner/GM won't admit to not knowing as much as he thinks he does and insists on doing it his way. God bless him! I hope he outlives everybody on this board. What I know is the Eagles will be better next year. They'll be better with Peters, Sproles, Hicks and Wentz. They get better moving Foles for a first round pick. We beat you this year by 31 points in the game that mattered. It may not be that close next year.

Exactly. As Cowboys fans, we need to worry about how we're even going to build a team capable of getting to the Super Bowl as well as winning it. Especially with the obvious handicap of having Garrett and his staff (excluding maybe Marinelli). If anything, we should model our team AFTER Philly. I'd fire Garrett today and bring in either Schwartz or the Eagles OC to be the next Cowboys coach. What the Eagles did today is what we SHOULD have been able to do, but failed because of our miserable crew of our Front Office and coaching staff.

IMO what you've lost in losing Landry and Johnson is being ahead of the curve in innovation. Your offensive and defensive schemes are 20 years old and antiquated. Change that you may give yourselves a chance.

The only reason this Eagles team wasn't considered the most dominating, well rounded, and deep teams in the league heading into the playoffs was because of the assumption that there would be a huge drop off in performance from Wentz to Foles.

The fact that there wasn't makes their team even more impressive moving forward. Teams would be wise to use them as a template.

Haha, I was actually not around for Landry, and I wouldn't be able to remember what Johnson did because I'm 25. Like I said, I think we should model our team after what your team did. Especially with that defense of yours.

Exactly, unfortunately, Jerry doesn't seem capable of seeing what transpired last night, and lessons of it getting through his thick head.

Of course we know Jerry is handicapping our franchise . Every team has an opportunity to be better than we are.

Here’s to Wentz having less success than your MVP QB your going to bench . Lol

Your right on one front . Most thought it was over when Wentz was out.

Which brings the biggest issue up heading to next year. Do you bench the SB MVP. And if you do and Wentz doesn’t have as much success . What then?

The Eagles played quality football, on both sides of the ball. They won't be joining any "worst champions" list. I'm jealous of how great their coaches are. A true TEAM with coaches willing to adapt can overcome injuries, and that's exactly what they did.

Just like Collinsworth was talking about during the game -- Pederson went back and studied 2013 to see what made Foles be so effective. And then implemented a lot of those concepts once the playoffs started. That is so impressive.

It's also something Garrett would never do. Not in a million years.

The Eagles finally won one . They can light their town up and knock the mold off of their empty trophy case joining the rest of the division.

Maybe their fans will lose their contempt for their enemies from other divisional foes and attempt to become less animalistic fans now that they have tasted the sweetness we’ve all enjoyed for most of our lives.

If they had failed on 4th and 1 Pederson would be slammed for taking an uneccsary risk costing them the game.

Great execution of a stupid risk at that point of the game doesn’t make it brilliant.

I felt Philly had the best roster throughout the post season. Turned out their coaching staff was also among the best and is what really propelled them over the top. Yesterday's game was an excellent match and Philly emerged the better team.

....and now back to hating.

Even if the play had failed, it wasn't a stupid risk at all.

Pederson was aware of his opponent. Against the Pats, you need to score touchdowns. And that's the mindset he coached with.

The Pats didn't punt one time all game. Pederson's decisions to go for it (once on their own side of midfield) were somewhat necessary. Garrett would have never made those calls!

I’d place this Eagles team with the Giants team that won with Hostestler, the Raiders who won with Plunkett which that Eagles team was greater than this one.

And both of the Giant teams that beat Patriots. Neither of those were dominating teams. Just got hot and made a run.

The Eagles deserve credit for winning the games but that doesn’t make them a great team. They were a last place team .What follows in the coming years could make this a great team . We’ll see!

Most coaches would have never made that call because it’s not a percentage call . But an underdog can get away with it if it works . If it didn’t he would have been toasted for it. Just saying

I know you're a Cowboys fan, a majority of us here are but you're being a complete hater. I hate the Eagles but they're a good team top to bottom and show all regular season and post season.
