What would Dallas have to do acquire one of these young and extremely talented WRs?

I know both will be entering their 4th season next year. (restricted free agents)
What are their current contracts?

I am a big advocate for acquiring proven young talent over rolling the dice in the draft, especially when you have an up and coming team like ours with only a few needs.

Someone enlighten me please, or offer up your own suggestions for a young WR or the future of Dallas.

Boldin signed an extension.

Boldin had two more seasons remaining on his original contract at base salaries of $380,000 and $450,000, the NFL minimums. The extension adds four seasons, through 2010, thus creating a six-year contract with a total value of $23.5 million.

Johnson is finishing his third year. I don't know the details of his contract beyond what nflpa.org has:
2003 1000000.00
2004 395000.00
2005 555000.00
2006 5000000.00
2007 5250000.00
2008 7750000.00

Its possible he might void early especially since his salaries jump so high.

Personally, I think this team has more than a few needs, but they are developing Crayton at WR. I think he is going to be a keeper. Glenn and Johnson both have some time left. Now is the perfect time to draft and develop a young guy.

Yea.

I have to say that I do agree with this notion.
I just hate to see such phenomenal talent wasted on such crappy teams. (HOU & ARI)
Especially when a player like that could be an immediate dominant weapon with us, being matched up with Bledsoe.

:) In a perfect world, there are plenty of good players on bad teams I'd love to add to the Cowboys.

Johnson might bear watching. Its entirely possible his contract voids due to performance, PT, etc. However, I'd be flat out shocked if Houston didn't do everything in their power (including the franchise tag) to keep him.

He is about all they have.
But I'd easily give a 1st round pick+ for Johnson.

Houston wishes they had another Andre Johnson, they aren't going to trade their only quality wr.

Adding either one of those guys would be awesome, but I don't see it happening. Adding some youth and firepower at WR is a must either this year or next.

Although Houston's GM, Casserly, has made some bone-head moves, I don't think letting go of Andre Johnson will be one of them (unfortunately for us). :( In fact, I belive they'll be taking Reggie Bush w/ the #1 overall pick next year to provide AJ and Carr some much needed explosive help for their offense and draft OL the rest of the way... :D

Btw, I'm going opposite from our offense w/ our #1 next year and drafting defense instead.....

Reggie Wayne is going to be a free agent, I'd be interested

boy, Indy has a couple of tough choices coming up this offseason, both him and Robert Mathis are going to be UFAs

excuse me, Mathis is going to be a RFA, but still, someone is going to try and pry him away

IMO they are untouchable .....their teams would not consider letting either of them go.
