How far do you think Ansah falls if he does? Where could he land, and how far do you think he could fall?

I was doing a few mock drafts and I don't know where to place him if he starts to fall. If he does not fall to the jets last pick at 13, do you think he could somehow fall down to 18? Would be interesting if the Guards and DT's are off the board.

Don't see him sliding to 18 unless the teams know something about his health that we all don't.

I just worry about his lack of experience and productivity.

I worry that he looked great in the Senior Bowl going up against a bad OL but looked bad going up against others during the week.

I worry that apparently he can't get through a Pro Day workout without getting totally exhausted in the process.

I can see an epic bust in the making.

We don't always have to swing for the fences. If we can get a very productive, high character guy who played against good competition over at least two years, showed good athleticism at the Combine and Pro Day drills and fits our schemes than that is good enough.

What I don't want us to do is draft for need and blindly swing for the fences (ie. Ansah, Carradine at 18, Lacy at 18, any Safety at 18).

Yeah I agree because when I look at some of the other pass rushers I see more consistency with their game. I can see teams passing on him and him being one of the players that slides down the first round .

I feel every year we watch someone took a pretty steep tumble, and I feel it could be him.

Is there any interest at DE with Ansah in the first if our big 3 are gone? I'd prefer to have Star fall . heh...

Then again I have not watched enough of Ansah to make a good assessment there.

I don't see it, either, but stranger things have happened. If there's a run on OLs and then teams start reaching for QBs or WRs, he could make it through the cracks somehow. He's a boom:bust pick. But the potential there is too high. Somebody's probably going to take a shot on him before he gets near us at 18.
