Cowboys do not retire numbers.
However 8, 12, 22, 74 will not be given out and probably not anytime soon.
You will see 74 during TC at times if needed. It that player will get a different t number if he makes the team.

I was joking . As much as I like KN Jr don’t think his # would hang in jeans art gallery .

If memory serves me correctly, wasn't there some reservations about Barr when he was coming into the league because of a knee injury that led some to believe he wouldn't be playing for long?

Who sits when Barr plays, and in the long run does this help or hurt the Cowboys?

Anthony Barr was picked ahead of Aaron Donald and Zack Martin in that years draft.
That was a pretty good first round: nine straight Pro Bowl players starting with the selection of Barr and ending with C.J. Moseley. Two highly likely Hall of Famers in Donald and Martin.

Kyle Wilber...

If I’m not mistaken wasn’t Wilber and T Crawford same draft . Got a little more mileage out of TC . Wilber never panned out to what they thought he would become . Never cracked that lineup .

Yes, TC in the 3rd and Wilber in the 4th.

Wilber started 6 games in his 2nd season but never started more than 6 in any of the following seasons.

He was the type of player that Dan Quinn probably could have utilized better than Marinelli utilized him.
- Not as a starter, but as a role player in a role that Quinn would tailor to the specific player (like Neal at coverage LB & Kearse at hybrid LB/Safety).
- Wilber 6-4, 250, long arms, 6.64 forty at pro-day.
- His limitation in the NFL was limited short area agility and lack of deep speed.

Your absolutely right . Quinn would have sent him on some blitz packages .
