He has visited several teams in the past few weeks. He nearly got signed by Baltimore after the Marlon Humphries injury.
If he's well, he would be another reason to release Lewis and his $5 million salary. Brown was a better slot guy than outside.

Achilles is a tough injury to come back from as a DB. Yes it can be done but he is not young either. I know he was crushed on this site for his play but Brown was a pretty solid player for this team and I hope he lands on his feet somewhere.

Cowboys have moved on from CB Anthony Brown. His 3 year/$15.5 million contract he signed with the Cowboys in March of 2020 expired at the end of the 2022 season. Jerry might have allowed Anthony Brown to workout at The Star's headquarters during July to get in shape, but the Cowboys have definitely moved on from Anthony Brown.

I don't see him back unless the Cowboys are finding the need for depth signings later in the season and he's still available.

Once he is healthy let’s see what our depth chart looks like. No need for him now but who knows what injuries arise once the season starts And who knows how Lewis will look once he is healthy enough to play

Injuries are brutal. Who know's what will come of him.

I'm not so sure about that. I think there's a chance we could see Brown back in a Cowboys uniform before Lewis.
Lewis is still on the team
Brown is a FA
We could cut Lewis but once healthy brown will get signed. He’s a solid starter quality CB as is Lewis

I think Brown will sign somewhere after Week 1. It's unlikely that he'll be 100% this year at any point, so I doubt a team is going to want to give him a guaranteed deal.

The longer he waits, as injuries stack, the more options he'll have. I don't think he'll get big money, but he'd definitely have options.

Id rather go young and cut Lewis & AB if I can't trade them. Throw KJ into the fire. Sink or swim. I like this Josh Butler kid we have 2. Mandell as well.Time to let go of Lewis and Brown.

The difference is that Brown would sign for the minimum and Lewis is getting $5 million unless he is cut.

Anthony Brown has blown games for us with too many pass interference calls. Teams literally went to his side on 3rd and long to get an automatic penalty.

F' him......

He was a better slot cb than on the outside and he was better than Lewis there as well. Lewis considered too small for the outside and had to play the slot.

I think it depends on browns health. He’s a solid starter quality CB and if healthy he’s gonna get more than a min cobtract. If Lewis was healthy he could be a viable trade candidate too
It’s all about their health
I’d sure take brown on a cheap 1 year deal IF he’s healthy or soon to be healthy

He's coming off an achilles injury, he's getting minimum just like Hooker & Kazee did coming off of their achilles injuries. If Lewis gets released he would be looking at vet minimum too.

I agree, throw KJ to the fire. He was drafted in the 2nd round for a reason. Let’s see what he can do. No more hand holding.
