I am recovering from heel spur surgery(April) which involves Achilles repair. Let me tell ya, you nailed it. I still limp and have bad days. But I aint an athete either. Im 52. Just sayin, u make a great point.
I had a left Achilles tear 23 years ago and it still bothers me

It took me a year and a half to get back to work due to staff infections and other issues

I am 53

I feel for you. I wish you the best

For what it’s worth - Glucosamine Chondroitin helped a bunch and I still take it religiously to this day

Achilles is a tough injury to come back from as a DB. Yes it can be done but he is not young either. I know he was crushed on this site for his play but Brown was a pretty solid player for this team and I hope he lands on his feet somewhere.
Kevin Smith comes to mind. I thought he was never the same after his tore his Achilles.

He'll sign a deal a week or a few weeks into the season as DB injuries pile up and he can pass a physical. He can be competent depth, but his best attribute was he was one of the fastest players on the team, and the achilles will take a bit of that speed away.

I was a big fan of Brown, love seeing players like that succeed and make a niche for themselves. That said, he turns 30 this year, he's not a surprise to anyone and is coming back from a tough injury.

If he's well, he would be another reason to release Lewis and his $5 million salary. Brown was a better slot guy than outside.
that was before the achilles tendon injury - no telling what he is like right now.

He's coming off an achilles injury, he's getting minimum just like Hooker & Kazee did coming off of their achilles injuries. If Lewis gets released he would be looking at vet minimum too.
I don’t know where either stands in their rehab. Who ever is closest to being ready would be my guy. It wouldn’t matter if it’s Lewis since you could cut him and sign him back
It’s all about their health and I don’t know where that stands. But either when healthy is gonna get a nice contract because both are legit starter quality CB when healthy

oh wow!!! DANG. TY man. I will try that. Yeah the surgeon never told me about the risks. Funny what we will try when in pain and our mobility is suffering. I felt I had 0 choice. My right foot is still inflamed, bigger than the left. Very tender . Thanks again.

I'm not so sure about that. I think there's a chance we could see Brown back in a Cowboys uniform before Lewis.
Possible I guess. With either though it’s about how healthy they are. I’m sure they don’t want to cut Lewis injured since they’d have to pay an injury settlement but I haven’t seen any real news on withers health

Anthony Brown far exceeded expectations initially, then people expected him to be a pro bowl player and he wasn't. His bad rep amongst fans is unwarranted.

I wish him the best, and wouldn't mind bringing him back cheap if healthy.
