cut by the skins. He is 29 and is 6'3 360lbs. He could be the beef we need a NT.

He played pretty well for the skins when giving the opportunity. The skins fans seemed bummed they let him go but relize they are going with the younger (draft pick) guy Chris Nield.

We should atleast bring him in for a look. We need a Dline that can take up 2 blockers to help stop the run and Bryant could be that guy. A 2 down player. Maybe a cheap 1 or 2 year deal.

I do believe we haven't seen a bit of what Rob is going to unleash on the Jets.

The skins figure to be a 4 win team this year, play a 3-4 and they cut him. Not a good sign IMO.

LOL...but the concern with the NT position in base sets is. The Vikings game showed what two guys against Ratliff can do. Brent was ineffective too.

We haven't seen what Ryan has planned for the Jets, but watching Ratliff getting pushed around on double teams is fueling this argument.

Look at the Cowboys vs Vikings highlight reel (at the mothership) and the first play shown tell me what you see?

Ratliff plays with quickness just look at his TFL last year.

I don't recall ever seeing a 360 lb guy get pushed back 4 yards on a run play. Ratliff always struggles with that and the same thing happened to Brent vs. Miami.

I don't understand why we wouldn't wanna bring in a big fatty to just clog things up in the middle.

Yeh lets sign a NT who couldnt make a team that is still trying to transition to a 3-4.....

Can you show me some footage of this man clogging the middle? And I don't mean middle toilet in the stalls area.

No...I'm not saying we should go give this guy a 10 year contract. My point is, 360 lb guys are a lot harder to move than a guy whose only 300. I'd give a guy like that a look.

Not if they are turd slow and have no feet. Good hand fighters are harder to move than weight too.

People around here honestly think a guy who is 310 with maybe 40 pounds of fat on him is easier to dominate than a guy who is 330 with 60 pounds of fat on him. That is the difference in Ratliff and most of the 330 pound NTs in the NFL. They eat more burgers than he does and are a little fatter. No, being fat does not make you have good balance and be harder to push around.

I could find you some 500 pound morbidly obese guys on the street, and every 300 pound center in the NFL could push that guy onto his back in a split second.

Exactly.

...every 240 lb LB could push that guy back in a split second.

It's proof of the indomitable will to survive, really. Otherwise the LB is probably devoured in a frenzied, messy affair.
