Potential Barber replacement?

Any of you guys know much about him?

didn't watch him play but i can tell you from watching those videos that i dont want him, he has no vision and really isn't even as explosive as barber. he is just gonna go to the hole that was called whether or not it is there and he is gonna hope to power through and that wont be the case in the pros. check out 2:59 of the second vid for a perfect example of what I'm talking about.

A very productive SEC workhorse RB.

He's probably not a starting RB, but it is easy to imagine him filling a short yardage / powerback role on a team. Yeah, I certainly could see him as a potential Barber replacement.

There is a very good chance that Dixon will be gone before the Cowboys' pick in the 4th round. But if Dixon were available to the Cowboys in the 4th, he'd merit consideration as a possible BPA pick.

I don't think it'd make much sense for the Cowboys to pick an RB like Dixon in the 3rd round unless Jerry was committed to parting ways with Barber.

I kind of like him, or at least someone like him. I know I've said it before, but at Buffalo, Wade had several backs who were shortish and 230+. Plus he really liked Micheal Turner at San Diego who had a similar build.

I doubt anything happens with Barber and it's hard to see all the dealing being worth it, but in a perfect world I've love to trade Barber and get a guy like this or Gerhart. Blout probably fits the profile, too, but I don't want any headcases like him.

Back to Dixon and these highlights, I'd like to see him run harder. Other than those runs where he launched himself at the DB at the end and the one where he moved the pile, IMO too often he got tackled too easily for a guy his size.

i agree with running harder. to micheal turner he has vision and burst where as this guy is a plow straight ahead type and for that kind of running i would rather use a fullback, or just keep barber he runs hard no matter what and will find holes and use a stiff arm.

i would love to get blount in the 5th if we are moving barber he would be a perfect replacement and for a 5th if he is a head case we can part ways in a couple of years no biggie.
