If infact he does have a high-ankle sprain, we're gonna have both our starting CBs with year long lingering injuries.

Doesnt it seem we have many more injuries this year than the previous?

Maybe because we had Camp Cupcake?

Henry will be fine after a few weeks of rest. I just hope he doesn't rush back.

Really, as geeked as we all are about the Pats game, I'd think about resting him as much as a month, so he'd be healthy for that stretch of so many division games. Those are still the most important for us.

Are you suggesting that you don't think it's realistic that Henry's sprained ankle was a direct result of having training camp in an air-conditioned setting?

Wake up and smell the coffee zrin! It makes perfect sense!

Exactly. I mean, Henry was never injured when Parcells was here.

I think it's because injury information is being made more public now. Very little info came out on injuries on Parcells watch. Now we get too much info, much of which is, misinformation.

Has nothing to do with type of training camp, IMO. Last week when I watched the Inside the Huddle, Bradie even mentioned how he couldn't believe they went so long without taking any days off from practice.

Take a look around the league. Injuries have been like an epidemic this year. We're no different than everone else. In fact we haven't been hit nearly as hard as some teams.

Yes, high ankle sprain. Not severe and should not be a season long thing. Newman's foot is OK. Tendonitis generally speaking doesn't last all season either.

We just have more reported injuries. Guys apparently kept their injuries under wraps during the Parcells era. Case in point during the 2005 season Newman had a knee problem that contributed to his dropoff from his rookie campaign-- but we as fans never heard about it until after the season. Same thing to some extent with Henry and his knee issue last season. We've had injuries the last few years-- they were just more hidden.

I look around at the other teams in the NFL at this juncture and I think we've been blessed by a lack of season-ending type injuries.

The air conditioning and not overdoing the 30+ year olds body weakened his tendons ...... what was I thinking.

I think this is important.

Everyone is geared up to see how we measure up against the league's best, and rightly so. But ultimately, these games against the AFC East are the least meaningful games on our schedule. If we can rest our key players and have them ready for a tough division stretch on the road at Philly and NY, absolutely we should look past the Pats, and feel good about doing so.

Plus, eating all those cupcakes I keep hearing about. That can not be healthy for an athlete!

I think Camp cupcake also set Ellis back in his rehabilitation ..... if he would have been forced to do 2 a days .... he would have started in game one.

I beg to differ about camp cumpcake. I think the energy our team had in the first 3 games in the heat late in the 4th quarter and how wore down the other units were says all we need to know about how Wade ran his camp.

Henry was walking to good after the injury, although I am not trying to make light of the extent of the ankle. But, I really feel good about him.

And remember Parcells had this "no practice, no play" policy-which all but forced the injured players to practice, knowing that it would give them their best shot to play.

Pt being that there's alot of factors being determined in these injury reports-the amount of practice time(or lack thereof) is one of them. When Henry had his knee issues late last year, he was forced to practice knowing that it would be his only option to play, so therefore, he didn't make the so-called injury report.

Henry, like Terry Glenn, is just an injury prone player.

The week of this Rams game I was thinking its about time for Anthony Henry to have an injury.

Sure enough what happens...?

I just think hes one of those guys you gotta expect this from year in year out.

That being said Henry will be back for the New England game.

You have given me a great idea!

I am going to apply for a federal grant to study the effects of air conditioning on pro athletes. I will havew to focus on one team, so it will be the Cowboys. My travel and lodging expenses will be applied to the grants as will my season tickets. In fact, I may have to stretcth this over a couple years to make sure of an adequate sampling.

I will them compapre the injury results to season 's where there was no air conditioning and have a determination of the direct relation between air conditioning and injuries.

Of course, my salary will be around 250k a year.
