Anthony Henry= Younger, faster Ryan McNeil?

As many have already pointed out, Henry was all over the place last night both in coverage and on tackles. It's nice to see especially after all of the rumors we kept hearing coming out of mini-camps regarding him giving up a few plays then.

Watching him last night brought to mind one of the players I most regret us releasing in the last few years, Ryan McNeil. He was one of the few bright spots of the dismal 2000 season and was only cut due to salary cap concerns. Henry's height and businesslike demeanor remind me of him, here's hoping his play matches up in the regular season.

That's actually a pretty good comparison. I see the resemblance in style and body form.

I made that comparison when we signed him. I don't know if he's much faster than McNeil though.

I agree with you wholeheartedly here. I too regreted us releasing McNeal then, he played well that year and deserved to stay. Henry certainly resembles him and showed some things at that corner spot that we haven't seen in a while. He may turn out to be our best off season aquisition. ;)
