Anthony Henry

Our defense is so much better with Henry off the field. He has good ball skills, but he's never near the ball. I'd like to know what percentage of completions and TD's this year have gone at him. Alan Ball looked like Deion Sanders out there compared to old man Henry. I do think Henry could be somewhat effective as a FS though. But I don't ever want to see him at CB again, unless he's playing for the Foreskins.

Exactly. He was picking passes off last year so you could overlook some of his questionable coverage at times. He's not doing that this year so you're just left with crappy coverage.

Our rookies did a better job.

have you seen courtney brown play? he could be the fastest player ever, but he has no idea what's going on.

That's true. But what Courtney Brown is or can't do has nothing to do with what Henry is capable of.

I was at our flag football games and missed all but the first quarter of the game so could someone tell me what happened to Henry? Did he get injured?

You probably had better pass defenders at that flag game that what AH can offer anymore.

Henry looks SO slow this year. He really looks bad.

Henry may have a very difficult time making the final 53 next year.

It may be time for him to retire.

Honest question: when he gets healthy (probably 2-4 weeks) could Henry play safety THIS year or is that unrealistic?

I have been saying since the start of the season and Moose was talking about this most of the game...

WHY DO WE PLAY 8 - 9 YARDS OFF THE WR? I know when it's long yardage...yada, yada, yada. But when it's short yardage, we still see our corners playing really far off. WHY? It's like Moose said...it's just pitch and catch, pitch and catch. Any ideas?

The answer to that question is: to support the run.

The idea is ( not that I agree with it necessarily ) by playing the CBs back, the safeties don't have to worry about a deep play in the early downs therefor they can support the run better.

Of course, if it was up to me, I'd make sure that LBs and linemen are not only good enough, but properly coached enough, that I wouldn't need the safeties worrying about the run first.

Henry is done at the CB position!! His legs are gone and that is the first sign of the end for RB's, WR's and DB's. He has lost his closing speed and he is only comfortable playing off his man.

He MUST be switched to safety now.

Case in point: Did you notice how Jenkins closes on the ball thrown on hitch patterns? That my friends are young legs in action. One word: Explosion!!

START JENKINS from today onward.

that deep pattern where Henry was covering stride for stride Galloway looked like slow motion. They're both done.

Henry should be a safety not a cb. You have to start Jenkins over Henry, hes wicked. Henry just has to move to safety not leave the team, his size is nice.

you mean Scandrick because Jenkins is already the starter on the left side.

Yep just like you can count on Newman getting injured before the first game of the year, and lingering for half the year. You can count on Henry doing it about the half way point of the season.

yeah its happened about twice in 6 years...thats defintiely "every year"

Next year:

- Henry to FS
- Hamlin to SS
- Henry down to cover the TE in the dime and C. Brown takes his place

BOOK IT!

I think I'd burn your book then.

What is it? The last week of October? Yep, just about time for Henry's 8 week muscle pull. Right on schedule.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

for real

Whoever our CBs are, they need to start playing closer to the LOS. Seeing them so far away from the recievers is incredibly frustrating to watch.

He seems to have lost 2 steps but he makes up for it in tackling. All we can do is get him to jam at the line, play tight, and get him some safety support over the top. At this point I'd trust Jenkins alone over Henry but if we can get em both the support over the top them I'm all for it...

or just move him off the team,..

Henry has been down right bad this year
I think he will be gone next year, especially if Pacman is ever reinstated. Moving him to FS is an option, but I would rather find somebody in the draft and move Hamlin to SS. Old Roy might be done as well.

I know people will laugh at this, and I expect it, but it might not be a bad idea to move Henry to ILB. He seemed pretty badass that time we used him to rush the QB. He almost had 3 sacks if I'm not mistaken. One thing is for sure...he is NOT a CB anymore.

Yeah I had a feeling his yearly vacation was coming up soon.
