Anthony Hitchens update?

I caught just the tail end of it. But this morning on The Fan, I think it was Brad Sham. Said, there is nothing from the team saying Hitchens is out for the Lions game.

And that it may be a Zach Martin type thing, where he won't practice all week. But since he is a tough guy, and a gamer, he could play.

Not if it is a high ankle sprain. Not something you can just "tough out."

Regardless of how healthy he is or isn't, he's going to be listed as a game time decision.

If it is high ankle, I have serious doubts about his ability to play.

True, I would love for Hitchen to be ready to go but if this is a high ankle sprain and is unable to move like he needs to then he can hurt us more than help us by trying to play.

LANDOVER, Md. – The Dallas Cowboys didn’t make it through their regular-season finale Sunday at the Washington Commanders free of injuries. Rookie Anthony Hitchens, who has played as well as any linebacker over the last month, suffered a right high ankle sprain.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said “hopefully” Hitchens’ high ankle sprain isn’t serious. Hitchens will be further evaluated Monday.

Hitchens started at middle linebacker against Washington because Rolando McClain was left at home Saturday because he was running a 102-degree fever.

Hitchens injured his ankle late in the second quarter defending a running play that he was rolled up on by Commanders offensive guard Chris Chester. He was replaced by Cameron Lawrence.
