Anthony Spencer

I've pretty much have been on the resign band wagon and haven't changed my mind yet.

Still believe that adding a 2nd d-lineman that can consistently push the pocket would make him shine, but I am happy with the job he does.

I have always thought anthony was worth resigning. I would bring him back if the price was right.

Absolutely....unless you find a replacement in the draft.

I wouldn't even entertain the thought. We need better opposite Ware and even a replacement for Ware in the pipeline too.

Get someone who can rush the passer. Pretty, pretty tired of Mr. Spencer.

Lol at this comment

Yes, if we can get him a 4 or 5m a year then go for it.

Last week everyone was saying what a difference having Spencer back was. Now people hate him again.

Who do you think the options are that would be better?

Is Spencer that good or are the guys that replaced him simply garbage men? I vote for the latter. We need more consistent pressure and a better pass rusher opposite of Ware.

People act like he's rushing the passer every down. The guy, at least last night, is in coverage a LOT.

I think he's a good player, would love to have him back, but there's no way 9 mil a year is acceptable. I think around 6.5 should be what he gets.

IT depends on the money, also the people saying no are the same people who would love to have Barwin or Woodley, why do you compare them to spencer this year.

Every one wants another Ware, that's not going to happen, Spencer is a very good OLB the is used more like a 4-3 OLB than a 3-4 OLB. I wish they would just switch back to a 4-3 and keep srpencer at OLB and get another DE and use Spencer like Oakland used to use Wimbley or the way Denver uses miller.

Depends on the price!

At a fair salary, then yes.

Also, are we in rebuild mode at the end of season or do we still think we are only a couple of pieces of the puzzle away from contending.

If way off contending, maybe you save the money for the next guy?

Jenkins and Felix are up too, and Dez is next year? Some more tough choices.

Can't afford to keep letting these 1st rounders not develop into your core in their 5th - 7th year - they need to be your dependable veteran leaders/winners.

If they aren't going to be, then I guess you have to let them go.

Who's better Spencer or Greg Ellis back in the day?

Yes, I want him back at the right price... His run defense is very valuable & drafting a DE like Damontre Moore, who can rush the passer would be great

He's average rushing the QB and average against the run. Do you resign a marginally average player? With no one better on the roster they've got no choice

I say he is better than average against the run.He is average pass rusher I think we maybe should Franshise him again.

Sign the guy already. You're not going to find comparable play in the draft or free agency.

Why create a need when you don't have to?

Rushing the passer - Greg Ellis. All-around SOLB play - Anthony Spencer.

None of the "get rid of Spencer" crowd has an answer for that question. It's one of those random drum-beater things that they just say without any rhyme or reason.
